Arrival Story:
In April of 1996, James and I were living in Tempe, AZ and decided that we would go to the local Petsmart to get us a cat. While we were there, someone came into the store seeking to find someone to foster five little abandoned two week-old kittens that had been found in her neighborhood. We decided to do it. There were three females and two males. We named them: Olaf, Trivia, Gunter, Precious and Biph. In the first two weeks, we lost Precious and Biph. At about four weeks old, we were able to find a foster that had nursing mothers that would help care for them. Olaf stayed with us while Trivia and Gunter went with the new mother cat. All three of them thrived. They learned to play and hunt from James and the mother cat. They were perfect little kittens. When it came time for them to be weaned, Gunter and Trivia were stolen from our friend's home by our friend's step mother. She thought the were great kittens and wanted to have them both. We had decided long before that Trivia would live with us and needed to find a home for Gunter. Finally, James went to the place they were and the two of them ran to him as soon as he called their names. They were ours without further discussion after that. Gunter did find a good home with a friend of ours who had a nearby apartment.

Bio:
Trivia became a proper lady cat. She is sweet and lovable and rules the other cats with a iron claw. She gave birth to her first litter in January of 1997. She had two darling kittens, Goliath and Freya. Freya now lives with another friend in Scottsdale, AZ who has made her an internet celebrity. Trivia has had one other litter. They all found good home through careful screening. In May of 2001, we lost Olaf to a spider bite following surgery. Trivia continued to rule the house and our hearts. She is a darling cat. In 2003, she made something that she would do occationally a regular habit. She now sleeps with me under the covers in my arms each night. We look forward to her routine, which includes giving James goodnight kisses and then demanding to be let under the covers and won't lay down until I give her kisses also. In February, 2004, we moved to Salt Lake City, UT. She loves having room to play. Her favorite toy is a little orange stuffed mouse with a bell on its tail. Trivia is the mother of Goliath. On Saturday, June 25th, 2011, Trivia was euthanized due to complications related to Mammary Cancer. She will live on forever in our memories and hearts. We love you, Baby Girl.
