Sweetie, it was seven years ago tonight that you made your way to the Rainbow Bridge. Today is Thanksgiving and I thank you for the time you spent with me.
I walked by your house today and put dry food on one of your favorite outside spots. I stood on the porch where I called for you to come in the house.
Licorice Lake, a black cat I sponsored for you at Best Friends, finally got a home. I gave a gift in your memory today and Best Friends doubled the amount.
Lisa gave you a turkey dinner for you and your friends at the Bridge. We want all of you to have a great feast!
I will always love you and will see you again someday.

I made my yearly You Got Me Day anniversary visit to where we lived today.
On my way there, I saw Merlin and Jasmine. Both are black cats who are at least 12 years old and I’m sure they would have been your friends if they lived closer to you.
I got to the house and went up the side walkway, as I have many times before. Someone planted beautiful flowers at the site of your outdoor litter box. There was plenty of room in back of the flowers to put the tiny amount of kitty litter I put there for each anniversary, so I did it.
I could see my bathroom. The shower is in the front and the place where the rug you liked is in back of the shower. I put a few pieces of dry food on the outside of the window.
There was a friendly grey and beige kitty in the back of the house. She let me pet her, but she moved so much that I couldn’t get the information from her tag.
I saw Tippy napping on a chair at the end of my visit. I let her sleep and went to the dog festival down the street that your vet place helps sponsor.
As always, I will love and miss you forever.
PS: Thanks to Tigger for his heart rosette!

Abby, it was six years ago tonight that you made your way to the Rainbow Bridge. For the first time since it happened, it is the day before Thanksgiving. I remember that sad, rainy night and the people who helped me all too well.
I took a walk recently and saw Jinx on his doorstep. He told me how much he wanted to go in his house. I rang his doorbell and his mom came to the door to let him in. It reminds me of when you told me or someone else you wanted in after your outside fun because he told me the same way you did many times.
I sponsored two black kitties at Best Friends in your memory, Licorice Lake and Jamen. We had Licorice Lake last year and I hope he gets a home soon. The other cat we sponsored last year, Nancy, has a home now and no longer needs sponsorship.
You now have a caption for all the pictures on your page.
I looked at your mail, as I do every year on your Bridge anniversary. I have a letter from a vet who works at the clinic you went to, but never met you because he started shortly before you went to the Bridge. He is now Lisa’s vet and he helped her a lot when she was very sick earlier this year. I wish he could have been there for you.
You have three reminders to go for your checkup and get your vaccinations. I wished I could have made the appointments when I received the cards, but you were no longer with me.
I have two of the collars you wore and several of your rabies or name tags.
I have many memories of you and I will always remember, love and miss you.

I went to the house we lived in, went up the walkway and put food from Lisa on our window sill.
A man, who was in his yard, saw me outside the house. I explained to him that we lived in the house and I was there for a visit. We talked for a few minutes and then I went to the front of the house to put a small amount of kitty litter on the ground outside the room where you became my catgirl.
As I walked away from the house, I looked back at one of your favorite spots on the walkway as I ended my visit.
Abby, you will always be my black kitty girl.
PS: Thanks to everyone who gave me presents!

Sweetie, it was five years ago today that you went to the Rainbow Bridge. I will always miss you, no matter how long it’s been since you went there. I know you made many friends and I will see you again.
I see a cat on my lunchtime walks who reminds me of you and I gave you a picture of him on your page. His name is Jinx and he is black, greets me in the same way you did, talks in ways you did, rolls on the ground in front of his house and purrs loudly.
Yes, he’s a boy kitty, but he is still a lot like you. The other differences are that he doesn’t have a kink at the end of his tail and doesn’t love to take pictures the way you did.
I still see Merlin—another black boy cat who reminds me of you—sometimes too. Jinx looks more like you because he doesn’t have huge ears like Merlin.
I miss you so much that any black cat I see reminds me of you. I sponsored two black kitties in need at Best Friends, Nancy and Licorice Lake, in your memory.
I will love and miss you always, my catgirl Abby.

On my way home from work today, I visited the house we lived in to honor the 16th anniversary of the day you became my catgirl.
I went up the walkway to the place we lived and remembered all your favorite places. I stood where I called you at bedtime.
I didn’t bring catnip and kitty litter this time, but instead used the small bag of your food I found. When I got to the back of the house, where our living room was, I put some pieces on the window sill. I put more pieces outside the window of the room of where the person who had you before me heard me call you—and which led to you becoming my black kitty girl.
When I got to the front of the house, Tippy showed up and let me pet her. I also remember how you liked to show her that you were the Queen of the Territory. She looks the same as she did when we lived there, but may move a little slower.
After I spent a few minutes with Tippy, I looked at the house again and ended my visit.
You will always be my Abby catgirl sweetie!
PS: Muffy gave you a beautiful angel star.

I looked for an interview I did with your vet 11 years ago many times. I know I had a printed copy somewhere and couldn’t find it. I found it on an old disk, but it had a password on it and I had no idea what it was. I tried many possible passwords and none worked.
I looked for the printed copy again last night. I went to a bookcase and in a book—I found it!
I will recreate it, keep it and not put a password on it!

I joined Lisa on the love seat last night and petted her. She started purring in her quiet way. After a few minutes, she purred louder and her purrs kept getting louder. It reminded me of all the nights when I sat with you, petted you and listened to your loud, beautiful purring. Lisa usually doesn’t do that, and for as long as she did.
I know you sent Lisa to me. Did you have her stay with me for 20 minutes last night and get her to purr the way you did?
Sweetie, it’s hard to believe it’s been four years since you went to the Bridge. I miss you and I always will.

I visited the house we lived in on my way home from work today in memory of the 15th anniversary when you officially became my catgirl.
As I approached the house, I remember how you stood on the walkway and waited for me if I went out for a brief time.
I walked up the stairs on the first side of the house. On this side is your outdoor bathroom. I put a small amount of fresh kitty litter there, as I did last year.
Next was the rear entrance and porch. I stood there and remembered how I called you to come in the house.
I went to the back where our house was. All the curtains remain and I could see only very little inside.
Last and certainly not least was the other side of the house. This had the storage room. Like last year, I put a bit of catnip outside the window.
I stood in front of the house and ended the visit.
Although it was 15 years ago, I will never forget the way you became my catgirl Abby.
I will always love and miss you, beautiful Abby.
PS: I had Lisa give you a diamond star from me.

Abby, it’s now been three years since you went to the Rainbow Bridge and I will never forget you.
Sweetie, I sometimes walk by a cat who reminds me of you.
Merlin is a black cat who greets me a lot like you did. As I approach where he is, he talks, runs up to me and talks more. We sit on the stairs of his house, where he gets the petting he wants from me.
He likes to roll on the ground, the stairs, me and wherever else he can to leave his scent. You did that too, Abby.
If you both were here in front of me, I would be able to tell you apart because he has big ears (possibly an Oriental Shorthair mix) and no kink in his tail.
Yes, Merlin reminds me of you, but he is not you.
Love and purrs forever, my beautiful catgirl Abby.
PS: I thank Snipper and Muffy for the special RIP rosettes.
