Arrival Story:
A cat came by my house several times in August and September of 1993. I let her stay with me overnight and fed her if she didn't go home. On September 18, 1993, I found her mother, who said that her black cat didn't like the other two cats in her house. I explained what went on for the past few weeks, so she looked at my house and then asked me if I could make my home hers. I was more than happy to; after all, she adopted me by coming by my house! Her previous mother called her Black Cat and I named her Abby. The name fit her and she answered to it. She was between 2 1/2 and 4 years old when she came into my life, and she gave me 11 of the best years. From the kink at the end of her tail and her many vocalizations, she had some Siamese in her. She hissed and growled at other cats at first, but became more tolerant and then made two cat friends (both black cats) later.
Bio:
Abby passed away on November 24, 2004 from lymphoma. It was the night before Thanksgiving (US) and I thank her for all the time she gave me. She's my first cat and I will always love and miss her. Abby is a one and only who can never be replaced.

It’s hard to believe that you went to the Rainbow Bridge eight years ago tonight. I remember you as if you were here yesterday.
I went to your house, which got new paint recently because some of the old paint chipped off. I visited some of your favorite places outside and remembered your days of wellness, when you exercised and relaxed in those places.
As I do every year, I looked at your mail, pictures, collars and tags. You have reminders to go in for a checkup. I would love to bring you to the vet!
I know I will see you again, maybe in one of your favorite poses.

Today is our 19th You Got Me Day anniversary. After work, I made a visit to the house we lived in.
I put a small amount of kitty litter at the site of one of your favorite outdoor litter boxes. Next, I went to a place you liked to sit and placed a few bits of dry cat food. Finally, I sprinkled a small amount of dry cat food outside the window of the room you were in when I became yours.
After I got home, I honored you at Best Friends and you will be in their Angels Rest ceremony nine days from now.
Abby, you will always be my catgirl. I will love and miss you forever.

Sweetie, it was seven years ago tonight that you made your way to the Rainbow Bridge. Today is Thanksgiving and I thank you for the time you spent with me.
I walked by your house today and put dry food on one of your favorite outside spots. I stood on the porch where I called for you to come in the house.
Licorice Lake, a black cat I sponsored for you at Best Friends, finally got a home. I gave a gift in your memory today and Best Friends doubled the amount.
Lisa gave you a turkey dinner for you and your friends at the Bridge. We want all of you to have a great feast!
I will always love you and will see you again someday.
