Arrival Story:
I was working at the shelter and met Yuri in Isolation. He was very sick and I think the manager wanted to euthanize him. We bonded very quickly and I LOVED the way he stepped out of the cage onto my shoulder. To this day, as big as he is, he will lay on my shoulders sometimes. I had to bring him home. :)
Bio:
Yuri is the most playful and rambunctious cat I've ever seen. I often wonder if/when he will EVER grow up. He loves the dogs and cats and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. I've only ever heard him hiss once, when I brought Sowen into the house. He was afraid of Sowen. Now they play. :) He's so cute. Mouthy, too. When he sees birds/chipmunks (outside OR inside birds, btw), his tail starts thumping hard and he opens his mouth and makes these weird little noises. So adorable. He also has a "Y" on his left shoulder, which is odd because as a baby he DIDN'T have it, it was just a line. He got his name because he was soooo sick with an Upper Respiratory Infection "URI" and I put a Y in front of that. I know, so horrible, right?? He's so gorgeous, isn't he? :)
