Winning Weekend

I decided, since I'll be 8 years old in a month or so, that I should start a diary to chronicle my life. I've had a pretty calm life, here in a cattery full of other Ragdolls, but I have done something not everyone does. I have gone to shows now for many years! Though purebred, I show in the Household Pet class. I guess I'm too small to be in the Alter Class, or maybe it's because a judge once made fun of my eyes and freaked out my Mom. I guess one looks crossed on occasion. At any rate, the Household Pet Class is pretty fun. There are lots of short-haired and long-haired cats there, some are purebred and some are not, but most are very friendly and quite beautiful. I've never minded shows, tho sometimes the hotel/motels are a bit scary. But I just cuddle with Mom and purr and knead and then I feel better. This past weekend I went to a show and brought Mama a few ribbons. A nice lady judge even gave me the 'Best Cat' ribbon! #1 in that group!! I really did schmooze her though. She was so nice and I really liked her. Her husband is also a judge and I schmoozed him too. He gave me #3 place and said I was a 'suck up'! Well!!! I don't see it that way. If I'm happy and they are nice, I show off a little. I think I'm a bit long in the tooth for showing, but maybe Mama will take me to another show. I do kind of like the attention...
