Seven random facts about ME:

1)::Mom adopted me because I had been at the shelter a LONG time and she believes in giving older cats the same chance of a forvever home as younger cats.

2)::I prefer to spend my days with a neighbour where I am the only cat.

3):: My eyes constantly run so I have to have eye drops every day.

4):: I HATE other cats though I won't fight, just growl.

5)::I will eat anything that is put in front of me.

6)::I have NO teeth left but that doesn't stop me from eating dry food.

7)::I don't mind being petted but not for long and don't pick me up unless I ask you to.

Yes today is my fourteenth birthday, though mum suspects that I may be older than that, maybe even as old as sixteen or seventeen.
I don't really do a lot except eat, sleep and growl at the other cats and I like to spend my days at auntie Mary and uncle Dick's.
I go down there a lot and mum has to come fetch me before it gets dark, I like it down there cos I'm the only cat there.
Well I'm off to see what mum's bought me for my birthday.
A whole house all to myself would be really good but I expect It's a tin of tuna or something like that, still I like tuna so I will say thank you for whatever it is.

I'm out!!!

Well mom relented today and let me out after breakfast, She will probably regret doing so. I don't know whether I will come home tonight or not, I will think about it and probably decide not. That will teach her a lesson. Do not sneak up on me, take me home and keep me in.

Oh boy!!

I bin an gone an done it now!. I got used to the time that meowmie came to get me from Mary and Dick's and I started hiding when she came down so she wouldn't find me, then, on Tuesday she fooled me and came down early and there I was, tucking in to a nice dish of grub when she picked me up and brought me back home. Now I am confined to the bathroom, meowmie says that she is going to keep me in for a week until I learn where I live, I'm not telling her but as soon as I get out I will be back down at Mary's. At least here in the bathroom the others can't bother me and it's nice and cool and quite.

Somewhere new.

I think I have found a new place that I would rather live than home. It is at the end of our lane and across the road and it belongs to people called Mary and Dick, they are much older people and the bestest thing ever is they don't have any cats and they love ME. My meowmie has had to go fetch me every day for two weeks now and she is not very happy about it. Mary promised her that she would not feed me but she hasn't kept her word, she feels sorry for me and gives me all sorts of goodies to eat that I don't get at home. When meowmie fetches me home she shuts me in the bathroom until bedtime so that the others can go in and out but not me. Still as soon as I've had my breakfast I go straight out and down to Mary and Dick's. Meowmie says that if I keep on going down there she will either keep me in for two weeks or she will ask Mary if she wants to adopt me as I seem to be happier at her place, and why shouldn't I be, There are no pesky kittens to annoy me and Dick's lap is always free for me to lie on. I think that I will just carry on as I have been doing and see what happens. Purrs, hugs and headbutts. Ellie.

Comeing or going?

I can't make up my mind whether I want to sleep inside or outside at night lately, so for about the last week I have spent one night in and one night out, and even on the nights that I spend outside I'm not sure that I want to be out there, so I sit on the steps and make meowmie open the door several times, each time I get up and walk away. I want to be in but I don't want to be in. Meowmie says that she doesn't know whether she is coming or going when I am like this and neither do I.

Home

I bin hanging around at home for three days now, at first meowmie couldn't understand it, it's not like me, then she found out that Auntie Julia has gone away for something called a holiday (I don't know what that means, all I know is that she is not at home) I go down everyday but she's not there, I hope she will come back soon, it's nice and quiet at her place because the other cats don't come down, only me, and Auntie Julie likes having me around.

Wrong way around.

Meowmie says that I got it wrong, I should be coming in at night and going out during the day, but I'm doing it the other way about. I am coming in early in the morning, having breakfast, twice, I then hang around till dinner time, then when I bin fed again I go off to auntie Julia's till early next morning, then I start all over again. Well meowmie says that us old timers are allowed a little eccentricity, whatever that means.

Mistake

OH BOY, did I make a mistake by comeing home for supper last evening. I had not come home for two days, (I do that sometimes) and I was hungry, so home I come all bright eyed and bushy tailed, have supper and ask to go out again, Wrong! I got caught, have my eyes wiped and drops put in, a pill pushed down my throat and then to add insult to injury, meowmie took off my collar and put a new one on me, It's very bright yellow with little pink and blue paw prints on it. Well it's o,k I suppose, but I liked my old white one. Meowmie says that we all have the same collars now, the bells on the new ones are noisier than the old ones, so she can hear when we are around better. Thats a darn shame, I won't be able to get away with creeping about so much.
