Arrival Story:
I see many, many cats in my area and I do my best to pick up the ones that I can and then trap and release the ferals once they are fixed, but Ethan I had never seen before. He was so sweet, I think someone moved away and just dumped him outside. He was starving, un-neutered, dirty and covered in fleas and he came right to my door. Since someone put him outside he ended up contracting Feline Leukemia. He was not really strong when I picked him up on February 2, 2004, but I was hoping I could make him stronger. Because FELV is so contagious I would never take the chance of exposing my other babies, so Ethan was forced to stay in the bedroom all by his lonesome. Whenever I was home I would spend almost all of my time with him. Unfortunately, Ethan went downhill after only five months of my loving him...the sickness hit him very quickly and within two-days he was at the point to where he was beginning to suffer and I needed to send my baby boy to his forever slumber. Ethan taught me so much, this sweet, loving, gentle little soul....all he wanted was to be cared for and loved. I wish I knew that I made him feel better and that maybe his last few months were not as bad as before I met him. ETHAN, Mommy will love you forever, my special little man.

Birthdate and Age are unknown - Rescued February 2, 2004 - Passed away May 11, 2004. The vet thinks he was 2 or 3 years old.
