Mom went and did it again!!!! She rescued a little black kitten from the freezing cold. He is a boy and she sayd he has frost bite on his butt. He is about 6 weeks old, but he is negative for all the really bad diseases that can hurt the rest of us so that is good. She has this thing for black cats, I am not sure what it is, I mean I know I am one and I am stunning; but leave the rest alone. I don't really mean that, I know mommy loves to help the others and it makes her heart feel good. This new little guy when he gets better is going to be the little brother to Mai Tai, Uncle Dans little girl that mom rescued a while back. We thought he was going to name the next cat Frozen, which would have been kind of funny cause this little guy really was, but instead his name is going to be Mudslide. He is quite cute I have to admit. He went right after me and Nick, I think he thought we were his parents. I swatted at him and Nick hissed and backed up. It has been a little while since Mudslide has been in the house and he is doind great and we actually all love him, well Gloria still doesnt and neither does Lea actually. Everyone else plays with him and bathes him. He is a lot of fun to watch. He chases his tale and the flips himself over because he plays so hard. It almost makes me miss my kittens days wondering if I was as stupid as they are. Probably not!!!!

We had an overnight guest for a little while. Her name is Mai Tai. Apparently, Uncle Dan called Mommy last Thursday all nervous because some people drove by the house and just handed this little tiny kitten to him. They said she was found all by herself in an old tire. Then they just left. He has never had a kitten that little before, so Mommy told him to go to PetsMart and get the bottle and KMR and kitten canned food. From the conversation I was listening too, I thought she was just going to talk him and Grandpa and Grandma thru how to take care of her, but NOOOO, of course not, she has to go their and see her and love her up and then bring her home to check out and take care of at least for the first few nights. So at this point, Mom will not let us near her since she has not been tested for Felv or Fiv and she had fleas. She did tell us that she was definately a girl and she thought she was between 3 and 4 weeks. She looked better than a lot of other kittens she has seen out on their own. She actually looks alot what I picture Gloria would have looked like as a kitten.
So back to Mai Tai, that kitten can eat and when she wants something she just meows like crazy. Mom was up with her every four and five hours. She did not cry to wake her to eat but she saw her up she would open up her little lungs and just go. She loves her bottle and she was getting a little wet food from a spoon too which I have to admit was kind of cute to watch. She went to the vet on Monday and got a clean bill of health. Mommy had gotten rid of all the fleas and so now the little one is running around the house. She is following me the most though and I am not happy about it. I hiss at her and growl and swat, but do not touch her because she scares me; but she keeps staring at me and then follows me. Mommy thinks I may look like her birth mommy to her and she is just trying to figure it out. I told the kid, no way, the oven never worked, not this kitty.
Thankfully now Grandma came and took her back to their house, Uncle Dan is looking to buy a house of his own soon and is going to keep Mai Tai and then get her a sibling. He said he is naming his next kid Frozen, so that way when company comes over he can offer them a Frozen Mai Tai and two cats walk in the room. What a furball!!!!

I am still not sure what I was doing, but all I know is that I could not walk on my back right leg. I was crying and in so much pain. I made Mom a nervous wreck, she called our doctor and got me an emergency appointment. She was so worried that I thought she was going to throw up a hair ball. Anyway it turns out that I popped out my knee cap. The doctor said that it jumped the curb. The x-rays also showed where mommy sat on me when I was little, but that was a total accident and she still does not forgive herself for that. Anyway, it is not a common thing to happen in cats, so if it happens again I may have to end up having surgery. You would think that would have scared me a little, but instead I came home and ran the stairs for a while. I think I gave Mom about 1000 grays...and she is only 29.
