Arrival Story:
Another one that I couldn't let die at the city shelter. I was speaking with someone I work with at the SPCA about the 19 year old that I rescued last year and she told me about Griff. Turns out she was set to be put down the next day. Some phone calls later she was mine.

Bio:
Griff came into SF/ACC as an owner surrender. They stated that they got her when she was 4 and they had her for 14 years. Things were no longer working out for them because they said she wasn't using her litter box and hadn't for the last couple of years. She had no litter box problems since here. I believe they left Griff to die. After a visit to the vet we found that she has a level 4 heart murmur (that's out of 6), moderate kidney failure, and possibly liver problems too. Although the first couple of weeks included many pills, she is no longer on any meds. She doesn't eat great and only wants junk food like fancy feast. She gets alone ok with the other 3 cats, but isn't the dog's biggest fan. She doing well considering all she has been through. Griffy lived a great four months with us. I only wish she hadn't gone through everything she did. She was able to die in my arms, knowing she was loved, rather then on a cold metal table alone and scared. Griffy will always be remembered.
