He loves to eat, but he loves his wet food "treat" in the evening best of all. He will do tricks for it - sit up, beg, speak, and shake.
Skills:
He is incredibly, adorably cute. He is (as our vet said) A really "buff" cat - all muscle. Even people that don't like cats love him.

Arrival Story:
My son asked for a cat of his own, since Miw was always with me, and Claudia with my husband. We said we'd think about it. Finally decided that he could have one of his own, since he is now 8.5 and able to take care of a new cat. So I emailed Claudia's breeder to see if she was going to have any kittens available soon, and it turned out she did! My son had a whole list of things he was going to look for in a kitten, but when we got there to look at them, this little guy came over and crawled into his lap. That did it for my son.
Bio:
Although Aslan and Claudia are from the same cattery, they do not actually have any near ancestors in common.
Aslan's cousin, GC Permarex Amaretto Swirl is the number one show Devon in the WORLD! And the number two show shorthair cat in the world (although I think she should have been number one, since the number one cat was a SPHYNX and they don't have any hair!) Here's an article in USA Today about Claudia and Aslan's breeder (and Ami's, too!) Ami is about a year older than Aslan, I think.

Playing gotcha - the meme game

1. I am a first cousin to the CFA 2006 Grand Champion Devon Rex ( Permarex Amaretto Swirl).
2. I was so small as a kitten that I would curl up between my Dad’s neck and the back of his chair to sleep.
3. I picked out my owner Blue the first time I laid eyes on him and crawled right into his lap.
4. I miss my Rainbow Sisfur Miw because now I don’t really have anyone to chase.
5. I once got on TOP of the cornice over my meomie’s living room window.
6. I like going outside on my leash.
7. Meowmie teases me and says it’s a good thing I’m so cute because otherwise I’d be dead by now (MOL!).

Finally, my kitty-sister Claudia came home on Thursday. She sure looked skinny, but that's OK. She was back to her usual self otherwise - she even hoarded *my* bowl of yummy chicken food! She didn't eat any (she only likes kibble), but she was just letting me know that she's home and she's still number one. Yeah, yeah, I know.
Had fun irritating Miw yesterday and this morning. Heheh. I bite her butt then she growls and paws at me. I paw back and if I'm lucky I can get her to roll over on her back. Have to watch out for her hind legs though - they pack a real punch!
Anyway, I'm just happy that Claudia is home again.

Wow, my big sister Claudia has been gone for a long time now - over a week. I know she's still somewhere around since my humans smell like her when the go out and then come in the blue door to outside. Mom & Blue say she got something in her tummy and had to get operated on. She got so skinny that she got skinnier than *me* and that's saying something. Life is less fun without Claudia around. We love to wrassle together and play chase all around the house. Miw just growls at me if I try to play tag with her. Anyway, the dr. says she's gaining weight again and may be able to come home tomorrow.
Yea!
