Arrival Story:
We found Shelby and her sister Leona at the Burbank pet fair in March 2004 when they were just kittens. Shelby was kicking it in her hammock, with her long back legs spilling over the sides. We couldn't figure out why this gorgeous cat hadn't been snatched up. The folks at the fair told us she was "spirited." She has lived up to her reputation.

Bio:
Startled by unwanted houseguests, Shelby leapt from her mom's arms and broke her bony little ankle. She astounded the vet with her super-feline strength, scaling a wall of cages even with her bum leg. A couple $$$ of surgeries later, she was as good as new. Cat health insurance is a worthy investment!

The Cat Tree

Well, my grandma got ME a cat tree. I couldn't wait, so I started jumping on it while mom was still putting it together. If I go to the top platform, I can touch the ceiling. I have been enjoying confusing my mom by walking into her bathroom and crying in my highest whiny voice for "no apparent reason". The reason is to drive mom nuts!!!! Ha. I also enjoy giving big droopy eyed stress face to either mom when they leave for work. I stand in the front window looking ABANDONED. It's fun.

The Move

I don't understand...grrrrrr...why humans feel the need to change ANYTHING. I loathe change. I had a window I liked, nice and high, where I could hunch down while being touched and grab the screen when one of my moms tried to move me. But then I was stuffed in a hideous box and forced to change locale. So far, I am okay with the white carpet--it looks great when I lounge. I am holding out and keeping my night cuddles to a minimum so my mom FEELS MY PAIN. I can break anyone. Looking beautiful and cuddly from a distance, waiting until the last second as your fans approach, then breaking for an unreachable spot, is one of my specialties. I loathe the hideous yapper next door. I am not a dog fan. As an outlet for my frustration, I have enjoyed growling at the neighbors and slapping my bratty little brother. How dare the little fop think he is prettier than me!
