Thank you all!!

I am so touched by all the nice pmails, vokis, gifts and comments for my birthday. You are the best pals a guy could ask for. You still love me even though I haven't been on much. Thank you!!

Mom had to work a 12 hour day today because her work was hosting a event to raise awareness and $ for our low cost spay/neuter program. She was helping prepare the PowerPoint presentation. There was a photo that just didn't seem to fit with the text. She needed a happy, sterile cat so she picked me!! She choose the first photo on my page where I am on my super cool, Cat in the Clover, That 70's Bed. The group was very vocal during the presentations with ooohs and ahhhs and laughter. Mom said they all gave an awwww and someone said how content I looked when my slide came up. It's true. So since mom couldn't be here most of the day, this was her present to me (other than tons of hugs and kisses and pets), she shared my handsomeness with the world. OK, maybe just 30 people. I love to share my handsomeness with the world!!

Where have we been?

Hi my kitty friends. I know in my last diary entry I meowed about how I was going to be around more but that hasn't happened and I feel awful. I miss all my kitty friends.

There is good news as to why I haven't been around. Mom got a new full time job and we are all adjusting to her not being here all day. Here is the super cool part....she got a job as the assistant to the Executive Director at our Humane Society. It's where she adopted me and was a volunteer for 3 years. Mom is so happy that she wakes up everyday and gets to go in and be paid. Woot!!

Besides that she is training for the Susan G. Komen 3 day for the Cure walk in Phoenix. It's in just over a month so she is training hard. She gets to meet other Catster moms too!!! Isn't that the coolest.

Well, we need our dinner so I better go. I just didn't want anyone to think we didn't care anymore because we most certainly do. All this has been quite the adjustment for mom so we are trying to be patient.

What's new?

Thanks everyone for the nice warm welcome back. Want to know what is new here??? Not much. MOL We have a couple of new visitors this year. There is a orange and white boy which we have named Julius. We see him quite often. There are two more, one grey and white and one is a tabby tux. We have only see them occasionally. Mom puts food out whenever she sees them. It's her job even if I don't like it one bit!

Mom has been putting in lots of hours at the Humane Society volunteering on there new Spay & Save program. You may remember several months ago mom applied to be the coordinator for the program but they hired from within. This program targets low-income families. If you are on public assistance within the metro area, we will spay or neuter for $10 per cat. How is that for AWESOME!! Mom qualifies people and schedules the surgeries. We have done over 500 surgeries (pretty sure) in the first couple of months. The goal is 10,000 in the first year. If anyone reading lives in the Portland/Vancouver area and want's to know more, just pmail me.

Other than that I am getting rested up for Cinco de Mayo while LuLu is just resting up. It's a rainy day and that is what we do. OH, we are also resting up because it's a new episode of LOST tonight. Woot!!

Hanging my head in shame

Hi pals. I feel so badly that I haven't been around much lately. Mom's work situation changed a few months ago. For the past 5 years she was working alone in an office all day. We had lots of time to chat and play on Catster while she was at work. A few months ago her job went from full time at an office to part time at home. LuLu and I are very happy that she is around more but she isn't sitting in front of the computer 8 hours a day like before. Now she is looking for a FT job and doing a lot of volunteer work at the Humane Society.

I am so sorry for all the birthdays, honors and special events that we have missed. Me and LuLu are terribly ashamed that we have not been very good friends. Well tonight I gave mom a good meowing to and we agreed that she would make some Catster time for us everyday.

We really miss all of our Catster friends. Mom had made friends with a lot of the Catster moms and dads on Facebook so we still know what is going on with a few of you.

Anyway........We are back and hope you will forgive our absence.

Goodbye Rocky Ann

Another friend has left us for the bridge. My BFF Rocky Ann. Her family spent the day with her and then helped her cross peacefully.

Rocky Ann was all about peace, love and friendship. She was also all about Hello Kitty, Strollers and Obama.

We have lost another little piece of Catster today. I know that she is part of the reason we love coming here. We love seeing her newest Hello Kitty items or cute wigs.

We love you Rocky Ann. You will be missed but never forgotten. Purrrrrs of comfort are being sent to your family.

Wow! I woke up to such nice messages and rosettes from my friends congratulating me on being a diary pick today. Thanks everyone and thanks Catster.

Mom has been a terrible secretary these past couple of months so I haven't been keeping up with my diary like I should. Shoot, my page is still all Christmasy. MOL I have had an offer from a beautiful lady to help me with a new one but mom needs to stop slacking.

Mom is still working from home and we are all getting used to our schedules. She is surprised not to have a desk kitty or two. About mid morning me and LuLu retire to the bedroom for our 8 hour naps. Did she expect that to change??

Last week was very exciting because my friend Princess Annie gave me the White Star Award. Isn't that the sweetest thing ever!! Thank you Princess Annie.

Today me and LuLu will be revving up our engines to purrr even harder for our friend Arnold P. He isn't feeling well at all and we want him to feel better soon.

Sad today

Today we learned that our BFF Jake McCurdy passed away last night. He was very sick and not getting better. He was getting top vet care but it just wasn't enough. His mom is very sad and even though my mom is on vacation I know she was crying too. I know that all of our angel friends are taking care of him and showing him the ropes of being an angel.

Rest in peace Jake. We love you.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you are all having a lovely day. Our mom went to Florida to have Christmas with nana and papa. She just talked with our pet sitter and told her that she went for a Christmas walk on the beach. Sounds pretty nice to me.

We had our Christmas turkey baby food treat. Yummmmm It's our favorite treat. We miss mom and I know she misses us but we are fine. LuLu is still limping a bit so our catsitter is keeping an eye on her.

I better go find a sunny spot. The turkey is making me sleepy.
