Arrival Story:
Zoot was one of three feral kittens born in a hedge next to a retirement complex in California. The new managers of the complex were planning on trapping & exterminating the 'vermin' (rats, mice & cats). One day I discovered Zoot & Murray playing in front of their den and decided they were too cute to be exterminated, so I snatched them and their sister (Phoebe) and took them home. An employee of the facility managed to grab their mama a few days later and is patiently working the 'feral' out of her.

Bio:
He seems to be the most wise & mature of all our cats, and can usually be counted on to restore order to the feisty Calicos with a well-aimed glare. He dislikes an even slightly dirty litter box and will grouse at me to clean it before and after use. He's a big boy, extremely friendly and quick to purr, and was the first of my cats to make peace with Katy Jane when we moved to Texas. He has discovered the bedroom and laid claim to making muffins on our shoulders, arms, or wherever he can stick his claws when we go to sleep. He likes to sleep on the corner, waiting for us to get up so he can lead us out to the other cats. (He gets stepped on a lot). Diary of a Very Cool Cat

Hello, I'm Zoot. You've no doubt read the basics of my story from the diary entries of my siblings, if not then go read them and come back later.

Welcome back! I'm the coolest cat in the house, happy to just be large & in charge. Well, when KatyJane & Nina let me, that is (you know how Calicos can be!) I escaped once when we first got to Texas but unlike the other cats who escaped I managed to get back inside the house on my own and haven't left voluntarily since. It's a scary world out there! I love my Daddy & Mommy and like to sleep on their bed with them, usually after making muffins on Daddy's shoulder. I also like to make muffins on his throat & face, he makes funny choking noises and tells me "gerroffame, cat!" but I don't think he means it. Probably.
