Arrival Story: He was one of three feral kittens born in a hedge next to a retirement complex in San Ramon, California. The new managers of the complex were planning on trapping & exterminating the 'vermin' (rats, mice & cats). One day I discovered Murray & Zoot playing in front of their den and decided they were too cute to be exterminated, so I snatched them and their sister (Phoebe) and an employee managed to grab their mama a few days later.

Bio: Murray is a rather large and very lovable cat. During our trip from California to Texas he was the only cat to regularly come up to the front of the truck and visit with us. The Wild Bunch (as I like to call Murray & his siblings) are all litterbox trained but have no clue of how to cover their load, and will instead scratch on the inside of the plastic wall of their covered litterboxes until the smell drives them out. Murray will often meow for me to come clean up his mess for him.

Thank you Catster for making me a featured diarist. My mommy and daddy are very proud of me, and have emailed all their family and friends asking them to take a look.
However, Katy Jane is not a happy camper, and when that Calico is unhappy, watch out.
To appease her, and thus make my life easier, I am asking all of you to take a look at her diary.

Meow to you all, and thank you.

...one pretty day in Spring a couple of years ago. This human I'd never seen before came up to us, picked us up (along with our sister) and put us in a box. Our mama was afraid of people and ran off and we never saw her again, and that made us sad for awhile, but he gave us to another mama cat and she took good care of us. Her name is Nina, and she's still our mama even though we're a lot bigger than her now.
The human became our daddy soon enough. I was very brave and hissed at him to let him know that I wasn't afraid of him, but he just made these strange "heh heh heh" noises. He got rid of the little bugs that were biting us and, after we yelled at him for awhile, gave us food. But our tummies weren't really ready for big cat food yet and we got sick, but then Nina started giving us milk and we got through it all okay. We lived together in our nice house for about a year and a half and my brother and sister & I grew very large on all the good food he gave us.
And then one day this nice lady came in. We had never seen her before but she and Daddy seemed to know each other very well already. She stayed with us a few days, then she & Daddy put everything in boxes, but the boxes in a big truck, and then put US in the truck, and drove away. We never saw that house again and miss it a lot, but after a few days of traveling we came to a new house with ... eGADS ... another mama cat! But this new cat was more of a bully than a mama at first, so it took awhile to convince her we just wanted to be friends. We've lived her for about a year now and we all get along just fine. A few months ago Mommy & Daddy came home with a new kitten that looks a lot like our mama cats. She's small and silly and doesn't seem to know that I'm in charge, but we're working on that.
Well, I need to take a nap now.......
