Skills:
I can climb up the side of our brick house using nothing but my claws! That's 7 feet from ground to windowsill up the side of a brick wall for those of you keeping score!

Arrival Story:
I was given to my mom, dad and brothers from my mom, Tora. My mom lives with my "grandma" Lauren across town. I had so many brothers and sister that my mom had to find homes for us all. One of my sisters, Skeeter Bite, still lives with my mom. Another sister of mine, Lucy, lives with my Aunt Tricia and Uncle Roger.

Bio:
I enjoy the simple things in life... climbing trees, eating every half hour, and wrestling with my dog are always tops on my list. I relax by having a drink straight from the faucet. None of that stagnent bowl water for me! I want only the freshest liquid straight from the tap. At the end of a long hard day of napping, chasing birds, and hanging out with the other cats on the block, I wind down by either climbing into my wicker basket from Pier 1 , or into bed with mom and dad for a right comfy snooze. It's a cat's life, for sure. But it's my life. And it's a good one!

How my story ends...:
Sadly, Mr. Tybs became ill with Feline Infectious Peritonitis(FIP) and quickly became deathly ill within a matter of just 2 1/2 days. On Friday, 5/18, he was taken to a Vet hospital, where it was determined through xrays, bloodwork, and drawing fluids, that he was indeed suffering from this vicious and aggressive disease. He was in pain, exhausted and laboring for each breath. Heartbroken and devestated to the core of my heart and soul as I was, the decision was made to put him to sleep, and to humanely end his suffering. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I prayed with him and for him, and for us, the family he would leave behind. You see, some people might think, "He was just a cat." But he was FAMILY. And when you lose a member of your family, you lose a little piece of yourself . I was hit hardest by this loss, because he was MY BABY. He went everywhere with me, he always went "night night" with me. He always slept on my left shoulder, facing me, with his back leg hiked up on my tummy, and his front arms across my shoulders. He liked to nudge his forhead up under my chin to feel safe. Whenever I was sick, or had surgery, or was sad- he NEVER left me. Last August I had Abdominal Reconstruction Surgery. I was alseep for the better part of 5 days after I came home from the hospital. My husband and son told me that, aside from using the box and getting something to eat/drink, "Baby T" stayed in that bed with me the entire time. That was his way. And I will love him and cherish him all the days of my life. He will never be forgotten, not ever. He will always be loved.

Last night I gave my mom what she called "a heart attack". It sounds painful, but she didn't seem to be in pain, just a little worried. When I came strolling in at 3:30 am this morning, my mom scooped me up and told me that I just about gave her a heart attack with worry, and wanted to know where I had been. She said I had been gone for 15 hours. I don't know what THOSE are, but I think 15 is alot of them. She said she thought I wasn't coming back. Come to think of it, I can understand why she might have thought that. I DO eat alot, and I come in to eat ALOT, and I was starved! I hadn't had anything to eat since I left my house. My mom said that I left at 12:00 in the afternoon. again, with all the numbers- geesh! Anyway, mom said that it wasn't like me to stay gone that long, and her and dad and my brother were really worried. Turbo didn't care- he was asleep on the bedroom floor when I came in. Lazy dog. So I came in, mom fed me and hugged me alot, and she even woke Dad and my brother up to tell them I had come home. Turns out that mom and brother had even went driving around the neighborhood with flashlights looking for me. I didn't mean to make everybody worry. Where was I, you might ask? There's this skinny orange and white long hair that's been busting my chops since last week. I don't know where he came from, though my mom says he was probobly a "dumper"(that means somebody pulled into the neighborhood and dropped him out of the car and took off) Anyway, he rolls into the hood and thinks he owns the place.. HEY! that's my job, pal! Now he's got eyes for my lady, Kitty. She's this sweet little Jet Black number with golden green eyes and the pretiest "meow!" that you've ever heard. Sure she's carrying someone else's kittens, but her heart belongs to me. Me and the "Dumper" had a scrap over her tonight. He cut my lip and chased me up a tree, but then I remembered that this was MY yard and he wasn't gonna run me out of it! So I climbed down from the tree in my back yard and promptly
reminded him that he's "just like school on Saturday- NO CLASS".. I stood my ground and he turned bushy tail and ran screaming from my yard like a sissy little girl! I showed him who rules THIS roost. And now me and Kitty can get on with our Saturday night, maybe hunt some field mice together. It's just another day in the hood for me and my woman.
