This morning my mom went out on the porch to clean out the igloo for the backyard kitties. Those kitties are my 2 brothers and my sister by the way! But when she came back in she did not get the squirt bottle going fast enough and I ESCAPED!!! MOL MOL I ran all over the yard with the others and we had such fun! I ran under the house and under the shed and all over the yards and then I led the younger ones out right into the street! Mommy was so scared I thought she might melt down. She was calling me and calling me but I kept going because I am Very Very Fast like Lightening. And poor mommy isn't very fast at all and is no match for me. The train was coming - it is a block from our house right behind our yard, and it was making neat noises and I thought about running over to look, but by then mommy was very upset so I guess its good that I didn't. She called my daddy on his cell phone to come home and help her look for me because I was missing in action by then and she was coming unglued. Eventually Daddy came home and after he called me I decided to go and let him pick me up and take me home. Actually I was pretty tired by then anyway. Daddy told me I broke my Mommy's heart running out in the street like that and that he didn't want a little orange pancake! I snuggled with mommy and told her I was sorry, took a long and much-needed bath to wash off my adventures, and held hands with her while I went to sleep.
(Thank you St. Francis and St. Gertrude for keeping me safe in spite of myself.)

First let me say I love my new home and being an indoor cat is great. Except for my sister Beatrice, who I haven't won over yet. But, yesterday morning, my mom noticed that I was breathing really shallow and fast, and that my eyes had a little discharge, and then I barfed copiously. She called the vet and was told to bring me in right away. So, only 4 days after my visit there for tutoring and teeth cleaning and shots and all that, back to the vet I go in my little blue carrier which I really love. (I sleep in it sometimes because it is cozy) The vet said I had an upper respiratory infection and gave me a shot of antibiotics (ouch). Then he said I had (ick) tapeworms and so he treated me for that. Mom always said nobody should eat as much as I do! Then, and this is the grossest of all,he found a tick on me!!! A tick! Mom explained that I had been sleeping rough until 5 days ago when I was adopted and introduced to being a spoiled little house cat, and they didn't think my siblings needed to be treated since I just got here. So I went home full of antibiotics and medicine, and slept the afternoon away. Today I am feeling better, and I sure don't want to go back to the vet for awhile. I guess I have to go back in 2 weeks for a booster. Its a good thing I am an easy going guy and easy to treat and easy to handle and all. I kind of get a medal in my family for that!! So today, mom picked me up and put me in her lap and clipped my nails. It was ok. The others have been amazed ever since....they say "Wow, Bobby, you are like the perfect kitty! You are wrecking the curve!" But I keep up my end of the board by running out the door every chance I get and making them come get me, so see guys, Im not really purffect, just almost purrfect.

I have been living outside and dining on the pawrents porch for a long time, but today something very strange happened. When it was time for me to get my breakfast, and I do love my breakfast!, instead, mommy brought out a bowl of tuna water. Well that was yummy and then I expected some real food, but instead she picked me up and took me inside the house and put me in a carrier and we went for a ride in the car. Wow! I had never been outside my back yard before and now I was in another whole city. They said I was the best little car rider ever, because I just purred and enjoyed myself. Then they left me at the "vet" which was weird, but all these nice ladies were so nice to me and told me I was sweet, and made a fuss over my little floufy bunny tail that almost isnt there, and I think I took a really long nap or two, because before I knew it mommy and daddy came to pick me up and they said I had been "tutored" and had my shots, and had my teeth cleaned so they were white and shiny. I was still a little sleepy so I just enjoyed my ride home in the car. But here is where it gets really weird: they told me I wasnt going back outside where I lived before, but I'm going to live here in the house now with the other kitties and with my mom and dad!!! I'm not sure yet how I feel about that but I like the love and attention and I like all that great food.....so I hope the other kitties will come to love me too because I want to be part of this family for real now, a real brother, not just a back porch kitty. They said this is my gotcha day, so from now on on June 10 I can celebrate the day I moved inside and got adopted.
