Arrival Story:
I was born on a horsefarm in cold December. In Feburary 2014 I was picked up in a group of kitties for TNR. But when I got to the fix-it place, I was too small and very sick with an upper respiratory infection. Been trying to get free of the snotty nose every since. Been through several antibiotics and still working at it. But Mom and Dad have fallen in love with me so they are calling me a failed foster! This be my home now.

Bio:
On June 26, 2014, after months of trying to overcome my snotty nose and terrible eye problems I had surgery to remove my infected eye. A very sad thing because Mom feels like she failed. But almost immediately my health improved. I am playful, eating better, no more snot rockets. I am happy. It just takes humans a little getting used to this.

Thank you, everyone, for my wonderful zealies for my Gotcha day! Yes, one year ago I can to my fun, kitty-filled house! One year ago I became my dad's dearest baby - although Phoenix says she is the one! I have been on antibiotics for 30 days and have never been so healthy! Mom thinks I may always be on them, but I take them happily in pill pockets. Happy times indeed!

Finally Doing Better

Phew - it been a tough time. The night after my sinus surgery I had a very hard time breathing. My humanz did all kinds of odd things like taking me in the steamy bath, putting drops in my nose. I mean really, I can't breathe so you put something ELSE in my nose? Put on some more antibiotics, then steriod nose drops. Finally things started to get better. Mom talked with Dr. Stacey and everyone hoping the snot sample shows something cause no way we gonna do that again. I started playing again and right now my nose is pretty clear! I finish antibiotic in couple days. Then we find out how things really are.

Sadly, my procedure did not go well. The vet was unable to irrigate my sinuses. The congestion just be too thick. Attempts irritated my nasal passages even more till I cannot breathe. I was asleep and knew nothing of this, of course. I ended up intubated until Dr. Stacey could get things controlled. Good thing mom not be there. I am home now on new antibiotics, a heating pad. Ate some supper. One good news is Dr. Stacey was able to get a specimen to culture, so maybe we be able to treat my sinus issue once and for all.
