Gray Tabby

Her mom; her brofur O'Malley; running water (water in a bowl is unacceptable!).

Loud noises (she HATES the vacuum cleaner); having her claws trimmed; being pestered by Olive; being told NO.

Favorite Toy:
Wand toys; anything with feathers.

Favorite Nap Spot:
On the bed with her siblings.

Favorite Food:
She's never been terribly interested in food. She'll pick at her Avoderm chicken canned food, and she likes the Orijen kitty treats.

She can leap really high.

Arrival Story:
My (now ex-)husband and I had gone to the Montgomery County, Maryland SPCA on a Saturday to adopt a cat. When we got to the door and realized they were closed, we were walking back to the car when the mobile adoption van pulled up. The woman driving it asked if she could help us, and we said we were there to look at kitties and didn't know they were closed on Saturdays, and we'd come back. But she told us that she had one kitty left in her van that was so special, she couldn't seem to let her go. So we went into the van (more of a mobile home--really big) and there was a tiny gray kitten in one of the many cages. She was adorable...and SO skinny!! (She wasn't malnourished, she was just really thin. She's a skinny girl to this day.) She had been adopted once before, but her new family had recently taken in an ill grandfather who didn't like cats, and when he threatened to kill her, she was returned to the shelter (thank goodness). We both held her and decided to apply to adopt her, and a few days later, I picked her up from the shelter. Squeak is a real dollbaby. She's extremely affectionate and will rub her nose on yours. She loves to be held and carried around. A few months later, we brought home a little orange kitten for her to raise--O'Malley!--and they've been best friends ever since.

Squeaker is in constant motion and hardly ever sleeps, even now that she's a teenager.
