Arrival Story:
He was at the Humane Society in another state. They were having a plethora of cats with upper respiratory infections. So much so, that a whole room of cats with this common/treatable illness were being put down due to lack of space. We demanded to be let in the room The kept saying "no".. I kept insisting until they let us in. All the chaos of the sneezing, whining, crying kitties and Norm was sitting quietly in his cage, PURRING. He reached out of his cage, and gently pawed my arm. When we came nearer he simply kissed our noses. He was wise even at 12 weeks old. He is still the happiest mellow cat we have ever known. He secretly wants to be a dog. He loves ALL dogs. You can't tell from the picture but Norm has turqoise blue eyes. Very rare in an orange tabby!

Bio:
Today at 930am, September 15, 2006 --Our dear sweet Norman died suddenly. He had no apparent health problems and he died so fast he did not make it to the vet in time. We are completely devastated. He was our orange boy, our sweetie, our child. His mission in life was to show us how one can offer pure love and acceptance. He is missed more than we can even express. Update: Autopsy results came back: Severe Lymphosarcoma (lymph cell cancer) and a lymph gland burst in his chest suddenly and he axphixiated. We still feel like we should have been able to do something, but by the time we got to the vet 8 minutes after his first gasp, he was gone. We don't know what we will do without him. :( Thanks to all on here who have emailed and sent condolences. You are wonderful.
