Arrival Story:
Mom and Dad were looking at a house as a rental investment property. It was empty and in pretty tough shape, but it was my home before my people moved away and left me behind. Dad started coming over and feeding me while the offers and counteroffers on the house went on. When it got cold, he put a little box with soft warm cloths in it on the porch for me. It had been a while since I'd had enough to eat so when dad started bringing me food every evening, I kind of overdid it. Any way that led to Dad thinking that I was pregnant and he said that, whatever happened with the house didn't matter I needed a home before I had kittens. (I wasn't pregnant) but he and mom took me to the vet, got me a physical (which proved I wasn't pregnant) and they had me checked out for any possible bad things the other kitties might catch. When I got a clean bill of health, I came to my new home and moved in with the family. It's been three years now and all of the other cats (except Ms. Murphy have finally decided to accept me) I was diagnosed with Liver Cancer in May of 2008 and Tests showed it was to far along to do anything for me. Dad was so sad. When I had bad days, dad would hold me and love on me. He would give me kisses me and tell me that I was his sweet blue eyed baby. My last days were not too bad, the pain medication helped but finally, I let him know it was time for me to go. Dad took me to our vet, and I crossed over at 3:30 PM on June 17th 2008. Dad was holding me in his arms and crying his heart out as we parted. When I first got sick,Murphy who was still a little grouchy to me finally came around and would give me grooming kisses as I lay on dad's pillow. PS. mom & dad never did get the house on Sylvia Street near Seville Street, but there are a couple of photos of me at the old place in the gallery on the bottom of the page. In the shot that shows the whole front of the house, I'm the little white speck. P.S. In the weeks before I crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Ms Murphy has finally told me that she loved me and welcomed me to the family. I knew my personality would finally win her over. Heh, heh, heh

Welcome Dear Friends,

This is a place for all of my friends to comment on the daily affairs of our lives.
This is a very busy time in our family. Last night dad was wrapping presents and Angels Lucy-Fur, Maggie and I were hovering over him. we took some swipes at the ribbon and the bows and dad felt our nearness. He stopped and remembered the time we "helped" wrap presents and the times that we unwrapped presents that were under the tree. He got some tears in his eyes and we knew how much he misses us. Pete, Raven, Ms Murphy and little Talley were right there "helping out" and we had to smile as Talley ran off with a whole roll of red ribbon.
Dad says the anyone getting presents from us will just have to understand that kitty claw marks just add to the charm of the wrapping.
I hope all of you are enjoying the warmth and love of your families at this time of year, but I would like to add one little reminder, Christmas is about giving and so many kitties need the kind of love that we enjoy. Please urge your pawrents to make a donation to your favorite shelter or rescue group. It will make your hearts feel so good!
Meowy Catmas to all and the Happiest of Mew Years!
Your friend, Angel Sylvia (Blue Eyes) Seville
