Mom is the official nail clipper in our house and Dad is the official cat holder. Why am I telling you this? Well, Mom decided it was nail trimming time. It was all going well until Mom got to my front left paw. She was trimming my final nail on the paw and I started fussing (and I never fuss during nail trimming).

Mom looked closer and discovered that I had somehow ripped my nail off. Now, they keep checking it every few days to make sure it doesn't get infected. I'm NOT loving Mom right now. Doesn't she realize it hurts when she checks my paw?

Disgruntled purrs,

It's Getting Warmer

Mom and Dad have been tired of winter but it is finally starting to warm up here. The windows are open more. I love to sit by window and smell the air. The birdies are out and I watch them. Wish I could catch a few but I can't get out so I chatter at them. Sometimes I'll see a chippy or bunny. Mom and Dad have a feeder in front of one of the windows. So we get to see birds eating. Late at night we even had a deer come to our feeder. I saw it eating late at night. Dad saw the tracks in the ground near the feeder. He said that it has been such a tough winter, the outside animals were looking for food. So they were willing to venture into our neighborhood to try and get food. Glad I don't have to live outside.
Dad says my birthday is coming up next month. I'll be a year old but Dad thinks I'll still growing because he thinks I'm part Main Coon. I tried to tell him I'm a cat and not a raccoon. Silly Humans.

Well I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather

Hide and Seek

I played a joke on mom and dad on Friday morning. When mom and dad go to their "work" as they call it, they do a quick cat count to make sure all of us are ok. Well it was time for the cat count and everyone except me showed up when mom and dad were looking for us. Dad looked everywhere but could not find me. He called my name I think several times but I'm a cat, not a dog, so I did not answer. Finally they left for work a little worried about me. Dad was sure that I was somewhere in the house. So I played a good game of hide and seek. When mom and dad got home from work I showed up so they knew I was ok. Dad scolded me a little though. He was worried I got stuck somewhere in the house but he should know I would cry if I was stuck.
Oh well, I don't think I'll do that again.

On a happier note, it is finally warming up here. Sometimes we get to have the window open a crack and I can sniff the fresh air. The birds are out so me, Arya and Danaerys can chatter at the birds.

with contented purrs
