Tabby and White

Arrival Story:
On 9-14-13 an acquaintance called me, told me she was getting evicted, and asked if I could take her two snakes. I said yes, went to get the snakes, and when I got there she asked if I could take her two cats and four kittens too so she didn't have to have to have animal control euthanize them Monday morning. Naturally I couldn't let these young cats and kittens die needlessly, so I rescued them too. Jag closely resembles his angel brother Micah.

More will be told about Jag's personality, likes, dislikes, etc as he grows and develops and reveals who he is.

Jag has a most unusual marking, a large solid black spot on the back of his right foreleg. I never before have seen a marking like this on a tabby.

The Noise

Jag jumped forward and whirled around in response to the strange noise. PFFFTTTT! Again the noise came and this time Jag jumped forward and hissed at it. He looked behind him, trying to figure out what that weird noise was. Then he cautiously sniffed at his own rear end, the source of the weird noise. After that he gave me a weird look as I sat there laughing hard at him. He had just been scared by his own fart!

Wow! DOTD! I'm touched. I'm also awed. Thank you so much Catster Diary Girl. Thank you also to everyone who gave me rosettes and treats and comments.I've been behind my brothers-they have more friends than I do and I thought maybe I simply couldn't keep up with them on Catster. I can't believe I actually got a DOTD too. See Dova, when I'm on Mom's shoulder I'm not sleeping, I've been watching Mom and learning how to write just like you and Moo have been doing!

BTW my cold is getting better. My eye has cleared up. I just still have some congestion and sneezing. Moo's cold is worse today than it was yesterday. Mom had to give him nose drops today to help decongest him so he could breathe better. Hopefully Moo will get better soon too. Dova still hasn't come down with the cold yet. Mom is hoping he might get lucky and escape it.

MOL we kitties have sure been having fun monopolizing Mom's laptop today! Mom's been busy changing litter pans, doing laundry, and doing other work today. While Mom's away the kitties will play!

Poor Me! I Caught a Kitty Cold!

First my right eye was a bit watery and sore looking two days ago.
Aahhh----CHOO! A-choo!
Sniffle! Sniffle! Aahhh----CHOO!

Poor me! I've caught the most common most aggravating problem that plagues us kitties...an upper respiratory virus. These viruses seem to strike kitties in the autumn season just as they tend to strike humans at the same time. (I've also noticed that autumn seems to be the time that kitties with a tendency to develop FLUTD usually develop it too, has anyone else noticed this tendency in FLUTD kitties?)

Mom's really been fretting over me like a nervous mother hen, rubbing my forehead and massaging my sinuses and throat, trying to help decongest me. She rubs a bit of Vicks vaporub under my chin because it helps decongest me. I hate the smell of the Vicks though! She also has been giving me penicillin. It doesn't help my upper respiratory problem any but it will hopefully prevent me from developing any kind of secondary infection. I think Mom's extra worried about me because of Micah. She's also worried about Dova and Moo because they will probably catch the virus from me although so far anyway, neither show any symptoms yet.
It sucks that the main thing going on to write about is something as nasty as a kitty cold!
