I had a 13 yr old orange male maine coon mix who I was afraid would not last much longer so I thought about getting another one to ease the blow of his loss...Well, I heard that my friend's sister had kittens born in her backyard and when I asked what kind, there was ONE long haired one, an orange one!! So I drove an hour to the yard she was living in, tried to catch her for an hour, even got bitten by her tabby sister in the chase! (I hope she found a good home, she was a cutie too). After catching her, I realized she was female, but I wanted an orange long hair, and was leary about another male since Chelster had always sprayed anyway. So, it's almost three years and she's warming up- it takes her longer to become comfortable than my other cats- she's very skittish. But she's super soft like cotton and likes to lick my nose (which usually turns to a bite- owww).
