Arrival Story:
Eli does not belong to me yet; he is currently in foster care. I am hoping to adopt him in the coming months. My Siamese, Petunia, has cancer (stage 4). One day, trying to get myself used to the idea of another cat, I went on petfinder. Eli's photos popped up. I was immediately mesmerized.Eli has an otherworldly look to him that made me feel he must be a very special kitty. Has my next kitty found me already? Will they hold him until after Petunia crosses the Rainbow Bridge? An update: Sadly, Eli's foster mom, when told there was a prospective adopter interested in meeting him, decided (after 3 years) that she wanted to keep him. So he will not be joining me. Very sad, but I can see why it would be hard to let go of him. He's beautiful! But in my heart, somehow part of him is with me, so I'm not taking his photo down yet. I' d like to hear what others think about his coat color...

Eli may have been orphaned as a kitten. Some children were trying to give him and his sister away outside a store--he still had his umbilical cord attached, and was only about 3 days old. Fortunately a volunteer with a rescue org. saw him and took him and his sister from the children. He was bottle raised as a kitten. Just look at him now, isn't he beautiful? I'm not entirely sure if I have his color right, he seems to be somewhere inbetween lavender, chestnut and platinum. I decided to put his picture up to try and learn more about him--and his unique coloring.
