Rocky is growing into that gawky stage. Long, lean and tall and not in proportion either. He is just an amazing little boy. fearless to a fault, athletic, and very loving. He appears to be one of those cats that adores and loves his people. If this kitten had not called out for help when he did...if we had not happen to have walked out to the horse barn at that moment...I have no doubt that a most wonderful cat boy would not be on this earth today. He would have been wild animal food or out on the highway as a cat-sail.
Alex came to us already grown and had been out on his own for a while. Alex is a survivor and he wants to be outside more than anything. We want him inside, but he would Drive Us Insane if we tried to keep him in 24/7. When we first introduced older Alex to the house he was afraid of Every Thing. It took him a while to ease his anxiety level to where he is pretty darned comfortable in the house now.
When we introduced little Rocky to the house, he marched through the house as though he owned it. "Yes, this will do just fine, thank you, much nicer than that scary outdoors," his body language seemed to say. Nothing bothers him, household noises were never an issue (expect the vacuum...Rocky and the vacuum do not occupy the same room!), it is just so nice having an inside cat without that outsideitis that Alex has so badly.
I don't have to tell you, when you want to love on your cat, darn it, you want to hold 'em, hug 'em and kiss 'em now and here! Not later when they decide they'll come inside for a while. Plus, we don't have to worry all the time about where Rocky is like we do with Alex.
The outside life is a dangerous life: predatory animals, traffic, poisonous plants, people that don't like cats, people that decide they like YOUR cat, and on and on.
If you have an insider, keep him or her inside. Don't let them get a taste of the great outdoors. You'll both be better off for it!

The inside life for me too! I am glad you found such a good home. I was outside for a while before I was was trapped and spayed and I am Not interested in going out there again. Window perches are enough aren't they,Rocky? You are so cute ;)
