To be brushed with her special brush.
Sudden movements and having her claws trimmed.
Favorite Nap Spot:
My closet, her kitty hole.
Wet food, or canned tuna. For dry, purina naturals small bites.
To be invisible and get into ridiculously small spaces with no problems.
I got Babshuka shortly after moving into my new place with my friend. She had been given to my other friends who never even owned a cat. She was sick when they got her and didn't know anything was wrong. They kept her outside all the time, as the previous owners had. (I never met the original owners) well after letting her in for the first time she crawled up into the couch and they couldn't stand the crying and when they saw bloody urine from the couch they called and asked me and my friend for help. When we heard what was happening and that they were going to take her to the pound we knew she'd be euthanized. She was so thin and sick and mentally messed up. We had to cut the couch back just to get her out. She was a bag of bones and like I said peeing blood. We took her home and got her to the vet as soon as we could and my grandma looked at her. (She used to breed blue ribbon Persians). It took a lot of time and money but she's my baby. My friend loves her but gave her to me after an illness made him move back into his parents house. I'm currently not in my home town but when I move back I know hell be just as happy to visit her as she will be him.
It took a little more than an month for us to get her tract and insides healed. (Apparently her kidneys/organs weren't processing the crap food she was eating and how dehydrated she was so her urine was turning into crystals and cutting her) and it took her well over a year to even be petted. She put weight on slowly but eventually reached a healthy weight.
Previously I had mentioned her peeing outside the box problem. Well...it's fixed! And she has become super affectionate! Shes so lovey dovey now!! And, she no longer begs to go outside! She is happy and healthy. And I cannot believe this loving, happy cat is the same cat as the frail, boney, scared thing she was a few years ago.
She even loves my lab! Which is a big step from the frail, crying cat a few years back. Also, since no one knows the date of her birth we had the veterinarian guesstimate it. And that's what we celebrate.
