Tortoiseshell and white
To be brushed. I don't they ever brushed her at SPCA
Favorite Nap Spot:
Under our coffee table on her scratching wave
Pureed shreded cat food and gravy (otherwise she just icks off the gravy)
Oreo, our other cat was roaming aimlessly after her sister, Taffy died. So, we went to local SPCA where they have over 120 cats. We are partial to Tortoise Shells so that was our 1st requirement. there were several including some kittens. As we wandered though the facilities 3 large cat rooms, we saw several that were candidates. Pumpkin Seed was in the "Declawed and elderly room" where she sat alone atop a cat-tower. They told us she was neither declawed or elderly, but they moved her in there because in the other room she was being bullied by the other cats. They also told us she is shy.
My wife was partial to a kitten, but something in me told me that Pumpkin seed needed a home, so we took her with us that day. She spent her 1st 2 weeks hiding under and behind a desk. After I blocked her access to her hiding place so she was forced to be social. Now she follows my wife everywhere and L-O-V-E-S to be petted and brushed, and to have her ears rubbed. She's still a bit shy, but is coming around. She is a real kneader when she is petted. I describe her a a bowl of vanilla ice cream topped with honey and sugar--sweet, sweet, sweet.
