Arrival Story:
My son was lost in the woods when he was just a few weeks old. Found by a nearby kitty foster mom... she took him in and looked tirelessly for the owner but they weren't to be found. The foster mom cared for Satchamo while he waited for his furrever home thru the Humane Society. When calling about him, there wasn't much good news, other then he was healthy. He had to be isolated cuz he was so mean. Given that he was so young, he still had a chance with me. Arriving after a 12 hour drive to adopt him, I was assured that I need not feel obligated to take him. As I began taking him out of the cage the foster mom asked if I was sure I wanted to do that. I was sure it would be fine. She said he might hiss & scratch at me, so be prepared and I was. Coming out of the cage, he let out a loud hiss! Laying him down in my arms, I asked him why he would want to do that. He looked at me, grabbed my fingers like a bottle and snuggled in and fell asleep. The foster mom was astounded, as it was the first time she'd see him be nice in 5 weeks. He woke up about 10 minutes later to my Golden Retriever nuzzling him. Oooh, he let out a yelp but that didn't detour my girl from loving him. Within weeks they were inseparable and when napping, he could always be found under his Lady Love... Sophia So`Redd.

Bio:
He's grown to be quite intelligent and entertaining. Satchie's abilities amaze folks... opening doors, drawers, cabinets, and turning off my C-Pap Machine. lol He understands English and Italian but I can't get him to speak anything but cat. Although, he does know how to say "Mom" when he wants a can of food. lol

Mr Banks called

Mum said Mr Banks called and said his parents are getting a divorce. The old chum is very upset and wants to know if he can come home. Oh my word, Mummy cried and said, Yes, Yes, YES! She told him how much she has missed him and how sorry she is that she ever let him be adopted.
You see, Banks and I are best buds. He's an older chap and was tossed away a couple years ago. Mum got a call saying take him or he goes to a high kill shelter. Not with Mum, that would never happen! He was so fat when he arrived, he couldn't even wash himself properly, Mummy had to do it for him. I still think it was because he didn't get any exercise. He did loss weight and as he did he started to play more and more. Oh, the fun we would have together! Mum's friend wanted him so bad... she let him go. A decision she has regretted, not because they were a bad family. We miss him, he's a part of OUR family.
Mummy and I are praying that he comes back home. He's about 8 years old now and we miss him so much. I've instructed Mum to post a pic of him... he's the orange man.
I hope this stress doesn't take one my lives!

Be good all...

Satch

Well, Chums, Mum has saved me from all the fireworks all week long! However, on this day, I felt the need to hide in the fruit cellar... yes, musty old place. My Sweetie, my wife Maria, slept thru most of it in our room. Damn that woman! When she woke from her beauty sleep, she ran to the cellar for kisses. Well, of course I obliged her... that face of hers and those rose colored lips, ooooh! She's just, just .... well, you get the picture.
Fifi-Fiona, the billion-dollar baby, watched out the door, as I shook in fear of it all. I don't understand it... Why, did our Sophia So`Redd have to go to Heaven? She helped me triumph my fears, all these years. The love of my Golden Retriever Mummy is one that I will always miss. But alias, Mum says she is with our sister Goldens Sandy and Ruby and Grandpa and our Great Grandmum. I know Mother misses them all... and damn it all, I will never miss the sound of fireworks.
Yes, alright, so I am a scaredy~cat... don't you tell anyone, I'll deny it, until my last life and my last whisker.
Love you all, Darlings.

The Kitty Kuddle Room

Well, Mom opened up the Kitty Room because Satchamo wanted to go in there and sit in the window... So, I followed him.
When he seen me he decided not to sit in the window but rather come lay on the queen sized bed in there. We had one of the pink lacy pillows and we both put our heads on it, so we could gaze at each other and sprawl out and take a nice long restful sleep.
Mummy came in to check on us after a few hours.... after we didn't come down when she yelled up the stairs that our lunch was ready. We were, as we always are, cute and cuddly and oh so in love.
Mom laid across the bed and asked for kisses from both of us and we both obliged her request and returned to gazing at one another. Satchie stretched his paw toward me and I returned the jester. He's such a handsome Mau... I feel so blessed to have him.
Love,
Maria Stella Bella
