Arrival Story:
Hello! I found Bella when she was just a newborn kitten, her eyes weren't even open yet. She had 3 other brothers. Her mom was a feral cat that stayed close to our house. One night my foster mom told me that "Momma Cat had her babies and I think they're under the house." So that same night I crawl underneath the house in mid december with only a long sleeved shirt on to find 4 beautiful sleeping babies. I crawl out and go inside and tell my foster mom that in the morning I was going to take a basket under there so I could get them. I couldn't really sleep that night I was worried about the kittens. I woke up bright and early the next morning put on my jacket and crawled my way in there, Momma Cat had gone out hunting so she couldn't stop me. I got all 4 babies into the basket with no problems I started my way out. when I got inside with the kittens I put them in the bathtub and took one of them and pet it and made it meow for momma who heard her baby and came running once she got inside I started walking backwards toward the bathroom when she was in there with her babies every thing mellowed out they were safe and happy. After a week I have named all of them Nala, Simba, felix, and Bella. Bella was the only white kitten so she grabbed my attention the most. I was instantly captivated by this tiny white puff ball. She wanted my attention the most. Always meowing for me to hold her and snuggling to my side. I knew she was going to stay with me. After weeks of watching them grow the Momma Cat was killed by a fox, I had to buy kitten milk from the local Petsmart and bottle feed them. Everything was fine, they grew to be healthy babies, and by the time they were ready for homes I had 3 people who were willing to adopt them. I kept Bella. To this day she has been a blessing to me. I used to be depressed and have very bad anxiety until she came into my life, now I have something to look forward to and someone to be with. I am a stay at home to a beautiful 19 month old daughter, I have 4 other furbabies, all dogs. 3 of them are mine Angel, Axel, and Koda. My other furbaby is a foster from the local animal shelter. The adoption team I foster for is C.A.T. adoption team. They are based out of Wilmington NC. Bella is currently recovering from surgery she had a blood clot her uterious which was about to rupture we caught it just in time. After surgery she came home and started to recover until she had 2 seizures. Which were caused by her antibiotics. Everything is fine now she is still recovering and she is still the Sofa Sleeping Queen.

September 10th, 2013. My family lost Axel, he was a Dutch Shepard brindle in color. He was sick for 2 days and he passed away on the 3rd. Mommy had a break down. Axel was such a sweet heart. He was a big boy, but very gentle and sweet. I'm not fond of dogs but when Axel was around I knew I had nothing to worry about. He kept his distance from me. Mommy keeps looking at his baby pictures she cries sometimes when everyone is asleep. She stays up and cries for him. Her heart hurts so much I can't understand how to help her.
My daddy is sad too, he hardly shows it since he feels as though he has to stay strong for mom. Koda cried too. He would cry at night because his best buddy wasn't around anymore.
Things have mellowed out. Mommy hasn't taken in anymore fosters since Gracie left back in September. Mommy got too atached to Gracie, we couldn't keep her but Mommy really wants to adopt a small dog. Mommy has a big heart for any baby.

Well have a meowtastic day everybody!

I haven't been on in a while since Mommy has been very busy fostering a dog named Gracie.
I wanted to let all of my friends know who Gracie is.

Gracie is a mix she has boxer and greyhound mixed and she is a pretty brown with brown, almost amber eyes.
The sad part is she was a bait dog for a mean person... She was used to train fighting dogs for dog fights and Gracie was too kind hearted and timid to fight back. Since she wouldn't she was taken to the animal shelter. She was skinny, her ribs, hip bones, her head, and just about every other bone on her body could be seen. And if you're like my mommy who visits the animals in the shelter knows that shelters have small cots for beds and cement floors to lay on. This must have been so uncomfortable for Gracie. Mommy cried when she saw her photo. I was worried for Mommy because she has never cried over an animal, mommy knew she just had to do something. She opened up her home and worked with a Rescue group called CAT and they got her out and home the very next day. She was so skinny and sick, her bones were so visible you could count her vertibres on her back. Mommy stayed up for hours into the morning when the birds started to chirp and the sun peeked around the clouds for Gracie, Mommy was afraid she wouldn't make it the first night, but Gracie shown her true colors the very next day when Angel, k9 sister, stayed outside for the day so mommy could work with Gracie. Now Gracie rolled over and tried to get belly rubs, she pawed at mommy's legs for more attention, weeks went by and Gracie slowly opened up more and more. Mommy helped Gracie over come so many things.
And here we are, 3 months later, Gracie is still here but she looks like a completely different dog. Her bones aren't showing, she has gained weight, so much weight in fact that Gracie has fat rolls now. Mommy thinks it's the cutest thing.
Today, Gracie is getting a bath for the very first time. Wish mommy luck!! I sure do hate bath time. Mommy has to hold me like a baby and make sure my eye stay dry, she uses a wash cloth ever so gently to wash my face and the top of my head, she laughs about it and says I'm too human like. But what can I say? I'm a spoiled princess. I sleep where I want, eat when I want and play with whatever I want.
Mommy has been dealing with a number of health problems here recently.
Vertigo, scoliousis, an allergic reaction to her wedding ring, and she had fallen a few weekends ago spraining her knee, but none of that has kept her from taking care of us, Angel, Axel, Koda, Gracie, and I, and her human baby Sophia. Mommy says it's all worth it.
It's been wet icky out here lately so to all my feline friends.
have a meowtastic day and stay dry!
