Hello folks :) This is Kasspur speaking and I just wanted to say that my Mom has taken great care of me and my mange is completely gone and I am back with my family inside and out. My fur is a little splotchy in places where I lost my hair. It used to be a nice creamy white color on part my head and most of my body but now it is gray where the hair grew back. Im not complaining though because it grew back, I feel better and thats what matters. My Mom says it just shows what we both went through and that I survived it. I just hope no one else has to go through what I did because it was vey itchy and discomforting but I am glad that Mom took care of me and I'm glad that she never left me.

i had adopted Kass last year when he was only six weeks old. i never had any problems with him until recently. maybe about five weeks ago he was in the house under quarantine. he had gotten mange in january and had spent about 2mos in the house inside a kennel away from the other animals. i spent hours cleaning him every day and giving him home remedies for medication and treating him with safe home remedies on his skin directly. i never dealt with mange before and i was scared that i wouldnt be able to help him but it gradually got better and i knew i was doing it right. i called the vet and asked for help and my vet is eally understanding about certain things and said to try a few different things first before bringing him in because it would be a crazy bill. i was glad i had some info on how to care for him at home rather than trying to move him. it was terrible at first with the hair ans weight loss, he went from 11lbs to only 5 1/2lbs, he had also lost the very tip of his left ear, but he got way better after a few weeks of treating him which is how long the vet said it would have taken anyway. after a few weeks his hair started growing back and he started to get anxious to see the other cats. he doesnt like it inside too much. they have an outside closed kennel that they go in when its nice out, so he very excited when i finally allowed him to see the others. Peaches and Timmy had to stay there day and night because i didnt want them to be around him at the time of the mange. i kept a close eye on them to make for it was gone and the other two wouldnt get it and to this day now, they are all very healthy and Kass' weight came back up to a healthy 13 lbs. he's my little follower and cuddler and i hoped that it would be cured for him to get back into the game of life.
