Arrival Story:
My mother, father, brother, and Alex the Dog moved to Georgia in 1999, from Dallas, Texas. Their neighborhood had a lot of new homes under construction, and Mom and her neighbors noticed a cat moving her kittens out from under a construction rubbish pile. It was a really dangerous spot for the mama cat and her babies, so Mom and the neighbors tried to bring them to a safe spot. The mother cat refused to go with her babies, but the four kittens came to live in Mom's basement. One of the little girls went to another family, and Stanley and Nieuwy stayed with my family. The other baby girl kitten -- the runt of the litter -- did not survive, or she probably would have stayed with her brothers.

Bio:
Stanley and Nieuwy were lucky enough to be found by Dallas Stars fans the year after the Stars won the Stanley Cup. Joe Nieuwendyk (nicknamed "Nieuwy") was the MVP ... and there you have it!
