Arrival Story:
My husband adopted Loudon during one of Petsmart's adoption fairs. His name was something that had just been given to him, so his new dad renamed him after his VERY LOUD MEOW. Apparently, my future husband just couldn't walk away from the loud protest. Years later we merged our families. I had just lost my Fig right before moving in, and Louden actually reminded me of him. He had similar likes and dislikes and shared certain behaviors. I think this accelerated my attachment to him. I quickly fell in love. So did Calísta. Louden was the only boy she liked.

Sweet Loudon,

Our time here together on earth was just too short. I wish I would have known you longer, but I'm so thankful for the time that we had. We bonded quickly, and I remember how you'd come sit next to me on the stool while I worked at the computer. That was your thing to do, sitting there, upright, so pretty and proper striking the quintessential feline pose for the longest time, just hanging out with me and waiting for pets on the head and love.

I know your dad said you were named for your very loud meow. You were known as "The Loud One." When he met you, you were yelling and yelling to get out of that cage--he just couldn’t leave you there. I’m glad he didn’t.

My goodness you were a big boy! You where thin by the time we met, but you were so long you could stand up to the counter--at least half my height! And you had the biggest paws of any domestic cat I’ve ever known. And those paws housed the sharpest, most underused claws! Your pads were so soft and you never scratched anything or anyone, you were just too sweet to be destructive or hurtful.

You truly were the gentlest spirit, and still are I’m sure.

You are missed, you are always loved.
