Arrival Story:
I met him sometime in August, 2012. His first owner got sick and had to go into the hospital. His owner lost his job and his house. Django was given to the son who lived across the street from us, three houses down. Those owners were evicted sometime in September or October, 2012 and they left him behind. I've been feeding him since August. He reminds us of Charlie at the old house. I would let him in when the weather was bad or too cold or too hot. I have no idea of how old he is. He has clean, white teeth so he must not be more than two years old. I didn't see him for two days during the week of April 9th. On the day Kenji passed away (April 9, 2013) I didn't see him. I looked out for him the next day too. He finally shows up on the porch on Thursday, April 11, 2013 and his eye had been punctured by a cat's claw from getting into a fight. He went to the vet that day. We had no idea if his eye was going to be dead or not and if it was going to lose it. Both we and the vet were amazed it healed so well in two weeks. Thank goodness he didn't lose his eye. He was finally neutered on April 25. He tested positive for FIV. It won't be a problem since he already gets along with the other cats. No more outside for him! He is named after Django Reinhardt, a famous jazz guitarist. Not after the movie! lol

Wow, I was so happy to be COTD today! What an honor! Thank mew furry much Catster HQ! Thank mew to all my furiends for the concatulations, the rosettes and the nice compliments. ♥ I got lots of Catster treats today too! Thank mew to Manytoes, Tundra, Rory, & Lynzee, Angel Harry & Furmily & Friday & Crew for the beautiful pictures! ♥ I switched it up
so each picture got a chance to be my main picture today.

I've come a very long way since my days of being an indoor/outdoor cat. I sure did pick the right house to go to, didn't I? When mom first met me, she wondered where I came from. I still lived with my previous humans at the time. Then a neighbor came over to talk to mom while I was there under the carport with her. The nice lady said to mom, "I bet you're wondering where he came from?" I've been indoor-only for almost a year now. I get along fine with Gimli, Tabi & K.C. I like to play with Gimli. Tabi and K.C. keep to themselves. You see, we FIV+ kitties CAN live with FIV- kitties! I get two meals a day and when mom is off work, we sometimes get some extra food. ;) I like my human mom. When she goes into the computer room, I follow her and sit on the computer chair next to her. I like to listen to music too. Sometimes I even sleep with mom and dad at night. I'm a lucky cat. My human mom always looks at me and smiles; she is glad I am here.

I had a pawsome day today! Thanks again to my furiends and Catster HQ for making this a very special day for me!
