A pen if you're trying to write with it. Ice in the water bowl.
Crouton not letting him pick on Calísta
His tail. He doesn't really play with toys, but he does play with his tale every now and then. (shhh-don't tell him he's 16)
Favorite Nap Spot:
On the chair under the dinning room table, or on top of the fish tank. Also, Pistachio and Crouton like to curl up on the couch together and Czar will sleep on the back of the couch right above them.
Canned fish flavors
Crazy mad agility skills
Czar was passed around my husband's family a bit. His first home discovered they had cat allergies, his second family moved and decided they didn't want cats in their new home. At that point, which was several years ago now, my husband stepped in and said it was time for Czar to come home with him to his new forever home. Now, I'm his newest and last mom. He was the first one of the boys I bonded with when I met them almost 5 years ago. He's at least 16 but we don't know for sure. I chose October as his birthday because it's his favorite time of year. He likes when it finally gets a little cool outside and he always tries to get out the door in October (--just what we want, our BLACK CAT getting outside in October. -drives me nuts with worry.) He is EXTREMELY agile, even at his advanced age. He can start a leap mid-room and hit his target 5' in the air on the other side of the room. I once saw him balance on the flap of a card-board box. Yes, THE FLAP! He had all four paws in a row and rocked back and forth to stay upright--AMAZING! I think he's pretty smart, but I sometimes worry that he may be having some moments of senility every now and then.

So, if you ask my opinion, I'm to old for this. IN FACT, no cat should have to put up with it at any time. Mom and Dad both agree. Dad came home the other day and found me bleeding, with a chunk of fur missing. Upon inspection he realized that I had been bitten--really hard. Now, I'm not a snitch, so I can be the big cat and keep the dirty details to myself, but Dad pretty much knew instantly who the culprit was and he called mom and told her what that mob-boss Crouton had done to me. There's no proof, but no one believes it was any other cat. I certainly didn't do it to myself. So I've been enjoying myself away from that beast with a big locked door in between us. Mom and Dad know I probably did something to irritate him; I am the instigator of the family, but still there is no excuse for such brutality. I'm lighting fast compared to him, but he's still younger and stronger so if he manages to catch me... well, you know... so now mom and dad are trying to determine what the future of our co-habitation should be. We already have the issue of Miss Priss --aka "Lísta," who needs to be separated when unattended, now it looks like I may need to be too--geesh! Well, at least until I finish healing up I won't be with him when mom and dad are gone. Maybe not ever again, mom and dad are a little worried that I'm just too old and maybe a little too crazy than to know better not to hiss him off.

That was the exact quote I got out of dad today: "This cat is supposed to be old?--WHATEVER?!?" What did I do to invoke such a response you ask? Well I cleared the dog and went right out the door. Yup. I leaped over that canine like there was nothing even there--MOL! And then dad said: "None of our other cats could do that!" Mom and Dad love that I can still keep them on their toes. *hehehehehe* At least they ought to love it ;)
Oh yeah, I stopped to nibble some grass and dad picked me up and brought me back in. I just did it to prove I'VE STILL GOT IT!

Just one question... who'd she pay?
Mom says that's a mean question. To which I remind mom that I too have wisdom to share:
Life is hard, then you nap.
One day ignore people, the next day annoy them.
When in doubt cop an attitude.
Curiosity never killed anything except maybe a few hours.
Climb your way to the top, that's why the drapes are there.
Never sleep alone when you can sleep on someone's face.
If you're not receiving enough attention,
try knocking over several expensive lamps.
Make your mark in the world or at least spray each corner.
When you go out into the world, remember:
being placed on a pedestal is a right, not a privilege.
Author unknown; so I assume I may take the honors. I do what I can.
