I've been around Catsterland since 2004. Met and made many many friends. The longer I'm
here the more likely I am to see more of my friends depart for Heaven. It's a fact of life that
can't be avoided. Animals that cross the bridge make us sadder than humans crossing.
Calvin is working almost non-stop making welcome signs. He had to make one for Samoa,
his own sister. Heaven is a glorious, happy, joy-filled place. But those of us left here can only
mourn and ache with the longing, the deep missing of the departed.
There is a cost to everything, just like there must be up and down. The cost of Love is the
pain of departure. The cost is tears, and heart-wrenching pain. We have no choice but
to go through it. And most of us are compelled to love again and again, giving another
animal a chance at having a home and family.
So I salute Samoa, Tweak, Norman, Chelsea, Justin, Fluffy, Mouse, just to name a few.
I don't want to keep track, it's too painful. I promise to remember them with a smile.

You are so right and so many of us do leave, it breaks our families hearts with so much pain and a hole in the heart and in daily lives. Animals bring so much to our humans lives and with that as you said comes the pain....but knowing we were loved, got the chance to live with our families brings so much joy to us and our families. Mom said she would not have it any other way....the benefit out ways the hurt...
One thing Mom wants to say is if not for catster she would never have been able to learn to heal from losing me...even if there are times catster is a sad place to be. We are all here for one another
With great sadness none of us live forever and we all know one day we will all be happy seeing our humans again...what joy that will be for us angels who await for that special day.
Thank you for this reminder!
angel hugs and butterfly kisses
QT and Mom
So well said Hazel Lucy! And as QT's mom stated the benefit out ways the hurt we must go through when we do make that journey to the Bridge. Mom loves Catster and the many friends we have made here. It's a special place to come and feel as if we are not alone in our thoughts. And one day we will all meet in a very special place called Heaven!
Hugs and purrs,
Simon & Reuben(an angel)
Those are wise mews and views.
So furry true.
Purrs & Hugs to all who are freshly feeling this kind of pain.
Very well said and so true. We remember our furry family members with only love because that is what they gave us for their entire time with us. The pain is deep and real. We purr for the families who cry for those in heaven.
We are very sad about Samoa's crossing. She was a great friend. Hey, she IS a great friend. She's still there. She's just in another place right now.
We are way sadder about humans departing than animals. Animals will go to heaven for sure since they have not sinned. Humans do something wrong (sin) every day and are separated from God unless they accept Jesus as their Savior. Because the price for sin is death. There is good news: Christ the Savior has paid the price for our sins and has defeated death forever! We pray for all of you.
Thank you for your beautiful words.
Sad but very true words. Our furry friends bring us joy and unconditional love but it has a cost. Yet it's always worth the inevitable heartbreak and pain we feel when we lose them. I've also seen too many Catster friends make their final journey and it always makes me very sad. Sending healing purrs to everyone who is suffering the pain of losing a beloved family member.
Nicely said HL. Catster furiends have helped us through the the loss of two of my brofurs. Our human friends and family that are in our lives don't have the deep understanding and beliefs that many of "us" do. Hugs and Purrs to those in need.
Beautifully said by your Mom, HL. And yes, we can all still be friends even though some of us are long distance from the bridge friends!
Meowmy has cried many times for our friends here. Catster has been a godsend to us, like so many others we do not have offline friends or family that truly understand the loss of a beloved fur friend. It has helped to know that here I will not be forgotten and I am truly loved by so many pals.
said beautifully...and absolutely true.
It's so sad to see friends leave for the Bridge - our mommas and daddys know how much their families miss them.
Wise and thoughtful words from your mom, Hazel Lucy.
THANK YOU fur sharing yer wisdom with us. Jen thinked the same way but doesn't knows how to say it.
Beautiful comforting words it is so hard to lose the family that loves so un conditional. Yet it is so true that on the other side in heaven there is ever lasting joy and health and happiness like no man or womnan or animal has ever known, although to a rescued kitty the love of the human that saved them feels like heaven.
Timo Katze that was beautiful and so well said
