Arrival Story:
I became Pistachio's mom by way of marriage. He was my husband's boy. Stash came to his Dad after his first owners ran him over with their car, when he was only a few months old. Then they either couldn't or wouldn't pay for his medical expenses, so they left him at a vet hospital. Fortunately, the Vet took pity on the poor little lover and literally pinned him back together. He spent the next few months confined to a cage other than when humans would hold him for therapy or to administer medications. My husband adopted him after he was deemed healed, but unfortunately, when they released him from the cage, he re-broke his leg almost instantly, and had to have more surgery. FINALLY, he emerged strong enough to not re-injure himself, and only had to have a follow up surgery for pin removal. The only remaining indicators of the accident now are a slight swagger, and an impaired eye. The pin removal is the only confirmed date to guess his age by, and was in Feb of 2005, when he was less than a year and a half old. The birthday listed is a best guess.

I'm HOMEEEEEE!

We've been gone for 2 months while mom finished her thesis, graduated from graduate school, and packed to move. Then we had to wait for internet service! Well I get to write the first diary because I just got home from the hospital!!!!! On Monday Jack had a pre-planned appointment in the morning and mom never expected that by midnight she and dad would be rushing me to the ER Vet. I didn't give them much warning, but I was fully obstructed (urinary). You may remember I have a little defecation issue from getting hit by a car as a kitten, so mom and dad suspected that first--NOPE. SURPRISE. Urinary. In fact I'm the only cat that got dry kibble BECAUSE our vet had prescribed a diet for my fecal issues that only comes in dry. Mom knew better!!! Again, she should have listened to the mom instinct. I still love her but she feels bad. I just got home today. All the vet peoples love me though 'cause I'm the sweetest guy ever--they say ;)

um...someone's in the kitchen (I kinda like this CD canned food!)

Mom? What Mom?

We have a mom? Well if we do we never see her. Ok, she’s giving us “the look” right now... But seriously, we haven’t seen her and it’s really annoying. Apparently she thinks this work/school thing is important so she’s been working 16-17 hr days for almost 3 weeks and will be doing so until mid March! On the bright side when things calm down we will have Catster to return to!!! You can’t imagine how sad it was making us that as soon as she would be able to let us play again the community would be gone. We are all so hopeful that this really does work out!!!

We instantly changed our names with pride when the Devine Samoa named us as Dream-Boats. Unfortunately, that was about all the celebrating we could do, but it sure made us happy--almost happy enough to forgive mom for a while.... So we just want to give a big Meow Out to Samoa for bestowing such a wonderfur honor on us.

We love and miss you furiends!

I'm not sure why I'm wiser now that I'm 10, but I am. I can feel it. I'm 10! can you believe it? Mom and Dad say they can't. I'm still their "kitten" ...well mom didn't know me when I was actually a kitten, but ever since she met me I've been the kitten of the house. So my birthday was great. I GOT TREATS! I got to go off my diet just enough to get extra treats for the day. And then did you see my page? So many of my furiends stopped by to celebrate with me. Most of them gave me food...I wonder how they knew...

Thank you Ashlynne, Beepers & Family for the most tasty shrimpy,

Thank you Sammy, Luke, Tully, & Natasha for the football--it bounces weird but I love it ;)

Thank you Friday, Bijou, Bailey, Neiko, Angels Buddy and Bobbie for the heart and making me feel loved,

Thank you Platelicker & pawsome family for the yummy Shrimp,

Thank you Smiley for the turkey. I ATE THE WHOLE THING.

Thank you Harely, Cody and Raj for the most delectable drumstick,

Thank you Jez and Travis for the pumpkin pie. What a purrrrrrrfect way to wash down the rest of my treats! YUMMY.

Thank you Rory, Tundra, Manytoes, & Lynzee for the pawsome 10th birthday photo,

And thanks for even more fun in Purr-mails and celebratory comments from Bratsky, Monster, Jez, Ashlynne & Platelicker.

I'm so thankful for all of my furiends. Thanks for making my 10th birthday so special.

oh--gotta go...someone's in the kitchen,
Stash
