Arrival Story:
When my son first started 4-H dog training in April 1998, he brought Cali home from his 4-H leader's house. Cali lived a long healthy happy life. In 2011 she began to develop obvious symptoms of CRF, the disease that I believe is by far the #1 cause of death of elderly cats. Over the years, the vast majority of my elderly cats have died of CRF.
With supportive treatment for her CRF, Cali lived well over a year after her first obvious CRF symptoms appeared. Cali died in my arms at 11:42 pm on October 11, 2012(interestingly October 11 was my mother's birthday, my mother passed on 1-23-2010 after a 10 year war with ovarian cancer.)
Cali is buried in the catnip garden with my other kitties who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
