Laying around & being held
The claw clipper
Favorite Nap Spot:
A human, a cat bed when no human is handy
Whatever he can get humans to share with him
Taking baths, enjoying the water! Coming when called like a dog does.
Velcro & Buttons were thrown outside as kittens when their owner, a tenant at my best friend's rental house, moved out. My best friend brought them to me so I could try to place them. However, Velcro & Buttons masterfully charmed me into keeping them.

Several months ago along with Moo and a black smoke youngster named Noreen, I was taken to live with Russ and Christine in a home of their own. For the first time ever, I was separated from my brother Buttons. Although it was weird to me to not be with Buttons, I found myself having fun with Moo and Noreen in my new home. I also enjoyed being with Russ. After all, I am sort of Russ's cat because I'm the cat who has the strongest bond with him. Russ also is the one who takes baths with me and lets me swim in the bathtub.
A little over a week ago, Russ brought me back to live with Mom again. While I missed being with Moo and Noreen, it warmed my heart when my brother Buttons first saw me, he rushed up to me and started licking my cheek. During the time Russ was at Mom's house while Mom went to the hospital, Buttons kept me company under Mom's bed. Buttons was so glad to have me there keeping him company.
Buttons made me promise that I will never leave him again. We agreed that so far as the events of life are within our control, we will never again allow ourselves to be separated.
Since our reunion, Buttons and I have been spending as much of our time as possible snuggled up together on Mom's bed, making up for lost time!

Today it was my birthday (and my brother Buttons birthday.) I bet I'm the only kitty on Catster who celebrated my birthday by getting to take a nice long swim in the bathtub! Some of the other kitties in my family like to play in the water bowls and splash. Moose and Gyselle like to drink water out of the faucet. Gyselle will even stick her whole head under a running faucet and let the water run all over her head! However, I'm the only kitty in my family that loves to take a bath. Anybody else out there like to swim or play in the water?

Although most changes happen slowly and gradually, there comes a time when such changes suddenly become quite noticeable. Today one such change suddenly became very noticeable.
When I let Destiny out of the crate to play in the bedroom today, instead of immediately fleeing her vicinity as they usually do; Uno, Righty, Velcro, and Gabriel who were on the bed and headboard stayed put. They didn't even move when I was playing games with Destiny. Kitty Gaga was in a cat bed in the middle of my bed, growling at Destiny, afraid of being stepped on, and I did move her and her bed up beside where I was sitting so Destiny couldn't accidentally step on her.
Another subtle change that is now very noticeable is that the cats no longer flee when I walk Destiny through the house either. They've learned that if they don't run, she won't chase them. Destiny has learned that the way to approach a cat is to come up slowly and that if she comes up to them in a slow gentle way, they usually will let her sniff them. Once she's sniffed them, that usually satisfies her and she continues on her own way. Destiny seldom tries to chase or approach a cat in the too-quick rambunctious way she used to use.
These positive changes in the dynamics between cats and dog have, like most changes, have been slow and gradual. But now the difference has become very noticeable and also very welcome to all.
