A human took me outside today. She woke me up from my nap and clipped this blue string on to my collar. I've seen her do the same to the dogs before. She then picked me up and carried me out the big glass door. I was terrified! She put me on a blanket. I, having been outside before, was not as scared as I could have been. I walked right off the blanket and back to the door. I didn't want to be out there. But that white stuff was cold! The human picked me back up and put me on the blanket again. Once again, I went back to the door. The human laughed and picked me up yet again before taking me back inside. Man, what an adventure that was. Time for a nap!
It was a nice day out so I decided to take Smokey outside in the winter for the first time in her life. I grabbed a leash and put it on her collar. I then picked her up and carried her outside. I put her on a blanket I had layed down for her and then watched as she hurried back to the door. If the dogs wouldn't have been standing right on the other side of the door I would have just opened it and let her in. But, instead, I put her back on the blanket. Once again she hurried back over to the door. So this time I just picked her up and set her carefully on the back of the couch and took off the leash.

Hello. My name is Smokey. I am a fifteen year old cat who has had some good and bad times. My first memory with my family was when the stupid human stuck me out the window of their car while the were bringing me home. I was terrified! But that was a long, long time ago. I can also remember the dog my family used to have. We got along well. She didn't bother me and I didn't bother her. But then one day the humans put her in their car and left. They came home but my friend wasn't with them... I wonder what happened.
And I can still remember all of the times we had to move. I knew the signs so I would hide under a bed or the couch until they hunted me down. Cat, I hatted that car. It was horrible!
The humans got another dog. This one was more hyper. I can't say I didn't like her but she was just too hyper for me. One day she left as well. I don't really know the answer to that one either.
Years and years went by. Some time after the last dog disappeared, the humans brought a kitten home. Now, I can tell you that I was no where near a young cat back then and I did not like the idea of sharing my house with another cat. After many fights, me and the kitten began to accept each other. We've only had the kitten for a year but it seems like it's been a lot longer than that.
Not long after the kitten, whose name is Pocket, came into the family, I got sick. Very sick. I couldn't move. My stomach was spasming and cramping so much. I was constantly heaving and had the runs. I think the humans thought I was going to die. I'll admit that I did too. But, they made me better. They gave me water and some good food. I hope that doesn't happen to me again.
A few months after that we moved again. We also got a puppy. The puppy is quite annoying. She's full grown now, though. I'll admit, she reminded me of the first dog that the humans had. Just a lot younger. Then, they got yet another dog! This one would attack me and Pocket. He even managed to corner Pocket once. Luckily, Pocket still has her claws and was able to fight back. My claws were removed a long time ago.
And so, that was my past in brief. Thank you for reading.
