Arrival Story:
Lucky was a garage sale kitten. I went to a garage sale and he ran up my pants leg to my chest and I packed him around the sale. My friend I was with said why don't you take him home (hadn't had a cat since my 16 yr old passed) I was like I can't just go home with somebodys cat, and she said no, the lady said she can't keep him. I said but he's Siamese is he free or for sale? And she said he was free. So I talked to his owner and she verified I could take him. She said his name was Lucky because all his litter mates had somehow fallen into a tub or something they had left outside and drowned. I decided to keep the name Lucky because I felt Lucky to have found him.

Bio:
Lucky and I bonded in a special way the first 7 months I had him -- I didn't realize how special until I ruined it by bringing Louie home. I guess he felt betrayed. He used to be yapping at me, walking on me, laying on the keyboard, getting my attention by doing whatever he had to and he wanted the attention ALL the time! After Louie, Lucky would not stay still for me to pet him, basically didn't want anything to do with me - he stopped sleeping on me or even in the same room, stopped talking to me, playing with me, and stopped purring at all! I thought he'd get over it and we'd be best pals again. Didn't happen. He didn't even purr again for THREE years. He has gotten better over the years, but nothing even close to what we had. He will get on my lap on occasion, and sometimes he'll play for a little bit. However, if I pet him too long, or touch some body part he decided he didn't want touched he'll bite the heck out of me! He still doesn't really like Louie and the fights they have are not play. They don't get into it really bad very often anymore but Lucky is just not nice to him. I will hear Louie scream and look over and watch....Lucky is walking behind him and every so often leans forward and bites the heck out of Louies back leg. They will be licking each others faces and all of a sudden they are laying their biting and screaming and bunny kicking each other. I read something not that long ago about Siamese (Lucky was my first) that they sometimes want to be the only cat and have the person be theirs only. Maybe. I do love them both so much but will always wonder what he would be like if I hadn't brought Louie home.
