Orange & White Tabby
Her special food and cuddles with Mama.
Her fur-siblings bothering her.
Favorite Nap Spot:
In Mama's office chair.
She's very intelligent and learns new things quickly.
Penny was adopted out by a rescue where I used to volunteer as a cat foster when she was 2 years old. She wasn't my foster at that time, but was luckily microchipped by the foster parent at time of adoption. Just before Christmas, 2012 I got a phone call from the director of the rescue, who is a friend. She asked if I had fostered a kitty named Ginger? I said no, and she told me this kitty had been turned in to our local Humane Society, no longer wanted by her family. A friend took me to pick her up, and we put her up for adoption again thru our rescue. Now 8 years old, Ginger (now Penny) didn't do well at adoption events and became ill. After nursing her thru her illness, I fell in love with her spirit and now Penny Joy is part of our fur family forever!
It took Penny a while to adjust to a home with several other fursiblings and also some foster fursiblings, but now that she feels safe and at home, she has such a sweet and loving spirit that it's impossible not to love her. She's very good at keeping her siblings in line, and prefers her Mama to her fursiblings, but that's okay! She's always ready for a cuddle or a scratch behind the ears. She knows she's home!
