I monitor the 'Pets on Death Row' posts sent out by 'Urgent'. Paws showed up on the kill list at CACC. I shared his profile like crazy. The next day there was a post from a volunteer from PODR that Paws was the only cat not spoken for. Then his profile dissapeared.
I could not believe no one had taken him. I was terrified he was killed.
I contacted the volunteers-all kind people who work tirelessly to get the cats placed before 'their time is up the next morning'. I was told Paws was still alive!
I called my husband-who said 'get a rescue and pull him now!' I contacted 2, they both said they couldn't, as they had pulled so many the week before, and there was a strech to get them vetted. I offered to vet him myself. The answer was still no-they were afraid, I guess, I wouldn't follow through.
Pleading with the little rescue that had tried so hard to save Babydoll from last year, I emailed them. I got an email that morning that there was a hold on Paws for us!!!!
Husband picked him up the next day, as CACC insisted on 'testing' him before he was released.
Paws cane home on Jan 12, 2013.

It is an honor that dear Paws has been chosen Dreamboat #104a for February 2013 by our lovely Samoa McBoa!
Paws was turned into Center for Animal Care and Control by his owners who had him for 8 years because they had a baby and 'had no time'.
Paws is the perfect cat. He loves to be with people, is very very affectionate, and is a lap cat. All he wants is to be loved and he will, if allowed, climb onto your lap and purr whenever he can.
