I have been so busy having so much fun! I just spent a week with my new friends watching birds and chattering after them. We chased butterflies and dragonflies too. Then we rolled around in the Catnip fields and got silly. Then we went to the Tuna cafe. I need to take a nap so i will say bye for now.
Until we meet again!

I have been having the bestest time ever since I arrived here at the Bridge. The best part is my eyes are no longer irritated. I wake up in the morning and I feel so good! I have made so many friends here already too.

Sorry I gotta run cause they are spreading catnip in the daisy field and I gotta get some. Yum!

Bye for now

Love as always and forever....Oda

Welcome To Our Over the Rainbow Family.

Hello OdaLisa,

Welcome to the Bridge. You're going to love it here. You're completely healthy again. You can romp and play and chase butterflies all you want now.

I know your crossing was difficult on your family. It's pretty tough for those who loved us, so we're going to try and help them too. They're encouraged to post and talk about how they feel. There's lots of love here, and all the kitties, doggies, and families have gone through it, so there's lots of support. I'll be with you until you get your paws settled.

Let me share some of the wonderful things that you'll be able to experience here. One of the most important is that ANYTHING you wish for is yours for the taking. All you have to do is wish for it, and it will appear to you. Wish for toys, beds, things you’d like to eat, places you’d like to go…anything. Imagine too that you can eat as much as you want and never gain weight or throw up. This can be a good thing in case you overdo it at the Whipped Cream Parlor. Just choose your flavor -- anchovy is very good. There are restaurants for every taste and lots of entertainment, and let's not forget the Catnip Cocktails.

You can go to the many fun places. There's a Kitten Museum where they have interactive classes in kite making and puppet shows. We had a carnival with rides for the kits and adults, lots of yummy food, and fun things to see. There are hot air balloon rides, fields of catnip, fountains of milk and honey. We have Hammock Talk on Wednesday and Friday evenings. You’ll get a notice on how it works. We also have a place called Fur Love, a virtual website found in the Forums section of our main page, where you can meet other kitties who are looking for that special someone.

Are you getting the idea? It is truly a kitty heaven.

Please contact Bono or myself if you have any questions.

*Kassie takes Oda's paw and shows her all the wonders here.*

Your new friend,
Kassie

I AM SO EXCITED!

I am slowly getting used to my new home. There is a creek and many beautiful flowers and butterflies to chase. I have been informed that I am on a list to receive a brand new pair of wings! WoW! I wonder what that will feel like? Will I be able to fly after I get my wings?

Everycat here is very nice. My eyes don't bother me anymore and that is a good thing. I do so miss my mommy though. sigh...

Bye for now...Oda Lisa

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of Heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies who has been especially close to someone here,
the pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all our special friends
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
They each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes
when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the
green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend
finally meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress that beloved head
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

I need to inform all of Oda's lovely friends on Catster that I found Oda laying on the floor with a bit of blood dripping from her mouth this afternoon. As soon as possible I got her to the vet. He surmized that she had a heart attack and she was having a hard time breathing too so we helped her pass over to the Bridge. She will be greatly missed by us as well as Tipper and Mitzy. She was a very loving interactive cat. Oda lived to be 15 years old.

Here are some tried and true methods of getting your human- to do what you want:

Sitting on paper: An oldie but a goodie. If a human has paper in front of it, chances are good it's something they assume is more important than you. They will often offer you a snack to lure you away. Establish your supremacy over this wood pulp product at every opportunity. This practice also works well with computer keyboards, remote controls, car keys and small children.

Waking your human at odd hours: A cat's golden time is between 3:30 and 4:30 in the morning. If you paw at your human's sleeping face during this time, you have a better than even chance that it will get up and, in an incoherent haze, do exactly what you want. You may actually have to scratch deep sleepers to get their attention remember to vary the scratch site to keep the human from getting suspicious.
