It was a few months after our beloved Muffy, a Labrador, died and we went to Pet Smart to buy a parakeet for the house. We decided to look at the cats first to play with them. Hillary, already named, was put in my arms and I melted. Instead of getting a parakeet, we picked up Hillary the next day.
