Arrival Story:
KK the Cat had been a long time resident at the Aurora Village home depot here North Seattle, Washington. I met KK while providing care for a dumped/lost/stray Gray Cat over at the nearby Petco. That Cat was named Bleu. Bleu was accepted at Meow a no-kill shelter in Kirkland Washington last year. Currently all the Cats shelters are full. After a few months of nightly visits, KK and I became really good friends. I later was curious and did some basic detective work and found out KK was living inside of the home depot. He has quite a fan club! Many of the employees there really and truly love and adore KK. However, I recently found out that Home depot management did not want KK in the store. Hearsay says, KK tripped the IR motion sensor alarm system several times when the store was closed and a manager who was at home had to drive to the store to respond to the alarm. During several recent in store visits, I visually observed several havahart traps had been placed in the store at various locations throughout the store and one placed outside in the alley. I decided I had to act quickly and rescue KK because who knows what would of happened to KK if someone else caught him. All above is my opinion, It is also my opinion, If he was brought to a regular animal control shelter, he would of been "put down" due to being semi-feral, He (if trapped) also could of been removed by someone unfriendly to KK and then let go in an area that he is not at all familiar with and either have slowly starved, gotten sick from not having shelter, been injured or killed by a vehicle or animal. I've found out that lots of slow movement and lots of love and patience that KK is an extremely lovable and adorable Cat! I give a BIG THANK YOU to ALL the Home Depot hourly employees who care for and truly love KK. You people did a really good thing! It's really good to know there are still good people like you all in this world! Again, a BIG Thank you! A BIG Thank you MEOW Cat rescue in Kirkland! They will help KK with a few of KK's basic needs, However KK will be living with me. Also a BIG thank you to Petrina and Debbie who provided technical assistance and moral support. 12/18 Update, KK is becoming more friendlier, he allowed me to examine his ears and some of his teeth. I'm not a veterinarian but from experience, everything looks good so far. We are going to Meow Cat rescue soon for a basic exam and some shots. We will see a vet on the first week of January after my pension deposit is in the bank. * * * KK is handling this whole new experience a lot better than I thought he would.

My Diary

KK has become so lovable!

KK is now an officially certified lap kitty!

He jumps up and sleeps on my lap while I'm sitting here on the computer doing work or surfing.

Loves to have his head scratched and petted, pumps his paws and closes his eyes like he is dreaming...

He's getting along better with my other kitties. Still has his moments though.

When he hears I'm coming through the front gate at home, he sometimes sits in the window and waits for me.

He is such a lovable Cat and a Purrfect pal!

KK has adjusted pretty well to being a 100% indoor Cat.
He still has his moments where he wants to go outside and he tells me all about it!
I refuse to let him out. Too many hazards that could get him hurt or become some other animals toy or dinner.

KK is sleeping on my lap as I write this. He is a very lovable and beautiful Cat once he trusts you.
