Arrival Story:
I was found in the backyard of my furrever furramily's house in early December when it was freezing cold outside. Meowmy saw me and tried to catch me with some food but I kept running underneath the car where meowmy couldn't reach me. She was worried about me since I was so tiny. There wasn't any other kittens or mom cat to be found. Meowmy searched everywhere. I was really small and she knew that I wasn't very old. My human brofur finally caught me after about an hour and meowmy brought me inside and put me in a dog crate. She weighed me and I only weighed 14 ounces. I was super tiny. I was crying and was very hungry. I was scared because I didn't understand what was happening to me. I soon settled down as meowmy made me my own little kitten condo out of the large dog crate, complete with my own water and food bowls, litterbox, bed and toys to play with. I immediately started eating some canned food and drinking water. Meowmy noticed that my eyes had a lot of discharge in it along with my nose. I was a sick kitten but had a good appetite. Meowmy made me a doctors apointment and took me to the vet. I had a upper respiratory and intestinal infection. My doctor gave me two different medications and I took them without fighting meowmy. I was beginning to trust meowmy and my new humans. I was then given a name "Lucy Rose". Several days later, I was feeling a lot better and my personality was starting to come out. I am a crate trained kitty and still have my own litterbox and food bowls seperate from the rest of the kitties in the house. I will not eat out of any other bowl in the house besides my bowl in my crate. I will only use my litterbox in my crate. That is my kitty condo and I also enjoy my time out in my crate at night.

I have become a meowmy's girl and get along with all the kitties in the house. I am no longer a kitten but meowmy still calls me one. I have filled out and am so happy in my furrever home!

The Christmas Tree...

Meow Diary,

So the Christmas Tree is still standing and in one piece. MOL I was more interested in playing with the box it came in than messing with the tree. My pawrents put the tree up with the lights without any ornaments on it to see if I would bother the tree. It's been up for a week and I've left it alone. Yeah, I will admit that I've jumped up on the table to occasionally have a taste of the tree. Yep, I will chew on the tree a little bit until meowmy sees me and then I stop. MOL I'm not hurting the tree or swallowing any of the plastic at all. It's just tasting it. MOL

Meowmy decided to decorate the tree a little more and see if I would bother it since it is my first Christmas with a tree in the house. I was too little last year to even remember the tree. So, meowmy decorated the tree with round balls and I will admit that they are fun to bat at with my paw. Meowmy bought some shatterproof ornaments to put on the tree. I've swatted at a few of them but mostly I am leaving them alone. Meowmy made sure that they are on the tree good and aren't coming off too easy because they are hung up with ornament hangers. I've surprised meowmy that I'm leaving the tree alone. All of us kitties are just plain bored with the tree. I'm telling you that the box was more fun than the boring Christmas Tree. My pawrents are happy that we are leaving the tree alone! MOL MOL MOL

Meow diary,

I am a happy kitty today! Today marks one year that I have been in my furrever home. It's my gotcha day today...or should I say it's the day I adopted my furrever furramily! I was a hungry and sick little kitten, vet said I was eight weeks old is all. I weighed 14 oz. Meowmy and my human brofur caught me in the backyard and the rest is history. MOL Meowmy took me to the vet and got me some medicine and made me feel better. Looking back the past year, I am truly a lucky kitty. I have all the food and water that I want to eat and drink. I am loved by my furramily and I am happy. I'm an indoor kitty too. I'm very happy that I found my furrever home. That is effurything a kitty could ask for! Purr......*Lucy Rose curls up in meowmy's lap and goes to sleep.*

Love and purrz,
Lucy Rose

Christmas tree???

Dear diary,

You wouldn't believe what my dad did this morning. I couldn't believe my own eyes. He put up a tree with lights on it in the house. Meowmy didn't think that we were going to be able to have a Christmas tree up with me around. *giggles* I'm into effurything and of course I had to check out the tree first. I jumped up on the table and sniffed the tree and even tried to taste it. It didn't taste very good as I'm not into eating plastic. It's a fake tree. I don't understand why humans put up fake trees in the house. Meowmy says that some people have real trees. This is my first Christmas as an adult cat and I'm still learning what it is about. MOL I was here with my furrever furramily last Christmas but I was too little to remember or know what it is about. Anyway, getting back to the Christmas tree...meowmy thinks I am going to get into the tree and knock it down. We'll see...for now all I have done is sniff it and try and taste it. Other than that the box it came in is more interesting to play in. MOL My sisfur, Chloe, and I have already been playing with the box and that's a lot of fun. Chloe has already been shooed away from the tree more than me. We'll see what happens... MOL MOL
