Arrival Story:
In November 2001, 3-month old Nikko was dumped in a Safeway (grocery store chain) parking lot with 2 of his siblings. The other two kittens escaped, but we managed to catch Nikko--a little black bundle of fur--and took him home. There, he was gently nurtured by G'Kar, his new surrogate mommy. He's been ruling the roost ever since and has trained 2 new dog-sisters: Jesse (now deceased) and Lucy, our newest senior rescue.

Bio:
Nikko is our "baby". Within just one year, we lost two of our beloved dogs (G'Kar and Jesse) and, were it not for Nikko, we'd have been consumed with grief. Nikko, though grieving himself, was there for us to offer love and comfort. We can't imagine our lives without this little black scallawag in it.
