Arrival Story:
Sammi came into my life through Homeward Trails. She'd been living under someone's porch in Washington, DC (unbeknownst to the owners) and their maid had been feeding her. She survived Snowpocalypse 2010, but shortly thereafter became pregnant at the tender age of 7 months. After the kittens were born, the maid realized she was having a hard time keeping them fed without losing weight, and so turned her over to the rescue agency. She lived in foster care for about four months before I met her at an adoption event, and fell in love with her at first sight.
