Arrival Story: Baby's mother was a feral my family had been trying to catch for sometime to get spayed. Well, when she became pregnant in 2011 she disappeared for quite some time and we wondered if she had had her kittens or not. I was at work at the veterinary clinic I used to work at when my mother called me frantic because she had found a litter of newborn kittens under a tarp with stagnant water on our front porch. Her mother had left with one kitten and abandoned baby, her four living siblings and a deceased one. After asking my former boss if it was alright I had my mother bring the kittens to the clinic where my coworkers and I divided them up between us. The stagnant water they had been born in eventually led to a systemic infection that nearly killed the kittens as did Coccidia weeks later. We tube and eventually bottle fed the survivors, though, until they were old enough to eat and drink on their own. Out of the remaining litter of five we lost two but Baby and her brothers, Blade and Maugli, are healthy and happy in their new homes.
Bio: Baby is a semi-sickly cat. She suffers from Chronic Rhinitis and allergies. She also has deformed genitalia that led us to believe she was male until she was eight weeks old. That does not effect her health currently although I had to keep an eye on her for UTIs in the future.
