Arrival Story:
Fang's story is a sad one. In the Winter of 2009 I noticed this scruffy, unkempt cat hanging around out garage where we feed the local strays and ferals. He was extremely skittish and underweight from what I could tell through his tangled fur. He would take one look at me and automatically turn tail and hide. Something drew me to him, though, and for months I would sit at night when he would come and eat and soon a trust grew between us. It wasn't until the Summer of 2010, however, when I first got my hands on the emaciated, sickly cat. I was able to bring him inside, shave down the matted fur that had left open sores on his skin and give him a much needed bath. Again my mother wasn't too fond of adding yet another cat into the house but after seeing his poor state she finally said yes after the New Years where he's been ever since.

Bio:
Fang we believe was abused. He hates men and is frightened of any loud noise as well as brooms and anything similar. He tends to stay mostly off by himself and takes quite a long time to get used to new people and items coming into the house. He also suffers from multiple medical conditions. He has some poor hearing, I think from having ear mites and an ear infection so bad before I rescued him, as well as UTIs and bad arthritis. He currently is on medication for his arthritis and we watch him for signs of recurring UTIs because he refuses to eat the food prescribed by his veterinarian. He may not have too many years left but he will be loved and pampered until then.
